"I don't know how you do it. After the last two, I would've thought you had a battle scar by now." Gideon shook his head before drinking the rest of his whiskey.

The three had spent the last five days working tirelessly to save as many people as they could. After Aries had let Snape go, she made sure that she knew who the Death Eaters were before walking in with a wand raised.

The concept took some time to actually sink in. The ridiculousness of it. How is it that she could standby and allow someone to murder innocent lives. She couldn't.

With all four of the lists and an extra day to find a specific house, the three had saved about twenty people. All three of them had someone die on their watch, the knowledge of being even just a second too late was more difficult than they imagined.

Unfortunately, none had captured a Death Eater either.

As of currently, they sat in a pub in a corner booth, the twins drinking Firewhiskey while Aries stuck to a Butterbeer. She didn't want to forget the people she lost. It was her anchor and her sail.

The thought of losing someone else kept her going, but when she did, the memory tore her to pieces.

"He's right, I'm starting to think they aren't hitting you because you're a girl." Gideon agreed with Fabian.

Aries rolled her eyes, "Or I'm just better than you."

"You're a Sixth year. You couldn't possibly." Fabian scoffed.

"And as a seventh year veteran, you mastered all of the subjects along with nonverbal and wandless?" Aries asked.

Gideon frowned, "Did you just call us old?"

Aries smirked while the two bickered. She pulled out the list Dumbledore had given her. It was the last list Snape had been able to provide.

Two names on the list, however, made her body run cold.

Jan and Dylan Decker.

Honey's parents.

"You recognize a name?" Fabian asked softly, a small frown etched his lips. Gideon had gone to get another pint. Aries merely nodded in response, "a friend of mine, his parents were on the last list. You got them out before the Death Eaters even arrived."

His words didn't comfort Aries though, "Why didn't you tell me?" She asked, glancing up at him. His dark brown eyes didn't waver from hers.

"Something Moody mentioned before we came here. He said it was important to not try to save someone we know. Let someone else handle it. We're more likely to make a mistake if we're emotionally attached." He looked away for a moment, breathing in shakily.

"Scared me pretty bad, but you took care of it. There would've been more stress if I had told you, would've complicated the mission, which isn't what I wanted. You did your job and saved two really good people." He admitted.

Aries looked at him for a moment, trying to figure out if he was trying to tell her something. Usually she was the one to divide the names to each of the three.

Maybe it was time to switch things up.

"You take the list this time." Aries slid the list to him, but his intense gaze didn't leave her, "Divide it how you choose. Moody's right, I won't be focused and neither would you or Gideon if you knew."

He took the list, studying it for a moment before glancing back at her, "I don't know who you know. I got lucky with your pick last time. If I pick I could give you the two you know." He slid the small parchment back to her.
