Break was coming and going sooner than Aries expected. Between extra classes, warnings about Career Day coming up after winter break, tutoring other students, helping Remus with his transformations every month, brewing Remus wolfsbane, and keeping James tutoring a secret, Aries was spread thin.
James didn't want any of his friends to find out he was being tutored in fifth year for something as basic as charms. Now he just wanted to impress Lily.
Aries had made several excuses to keep James from dragging her back to his home for the break.
Who knew it would be so difficult to say no to James Potter.
It was even more difficult when Remus had asked her to meet his parents.
She had weaved around his offer, telling him next break, though Aries wasn't sure she could promise it with how Dumbledores meetings kept coming.
Over the break, Aries had one job, find out who had the dark mark and who was supposed to get it.
She had been grateful to know that Regulus was staying over the break, but with all the Slytherins having knowledge of her getting disowned, he never engaged her with others around.
Instead, Aries had kept to herself during the day, practicing and learning more about her heritage as a Yeshu healer and even using it on students in the hospital wing.
She had come to find that this was how she latched onto Remus's mind before. All she simply had to do was touch the person, whether it be a gentle brush on the shoulder or holding hands.
Aries had read in the books Dumbledore offered her that as she got more comfortable glimpsing into people's minds, she wouldn't need to even see the person to look.
She had been able to do such a thing with Legilimency, but Sirius knew someone was in his mind when she had done it.
Using her Yeshu magic allowed her to slip into minds undetected.
While Aries had been practicing looking through peoples minds in the hospital wing, she also practiced the healing side of her magic.
As it turned out, she was rather good at it too.
She found that healing scrapes and cuts were easily mendable, even inflamed body parts from stings, bites, breaks, fractures were simple to reduce.
It got more tricky when it came to fixing said broken bones, fractures, and autoimmune diseases. Something as small as repositioning a broken nose put Aries through only slightly less difficulty than fixing a broken leg. It took more energy and time, both of which Aries wouldn't have when in the field for the Order.
Dumbledore had noticed Aries keen sense of interest within the hospital wing, however, he didn't seem as pleased as Aries had thought he would be.
He was more interested in her ability to get inside people's minds rather than heal a patients body.
Practically living in the hospital wing, Regulus had been coming in for minor check ups. Aries knew he had always been fine, but the things that he revealed to her, lead Aries to believe he was a bit smarter than she had come to realize.
"You taught me how to make a plan and follow through. No matter the danger, I will go through with it. Just like you." He had told her.
From that first week into the second, they would regularly meet in the shadows and the hospital wing during the night. He would share with her information about the other Slytherins, who left to get the dark mark and who already had it.
He had even shown her his.
Aries knew he would get one eventually, but it was different seeing it in person, tattooed on someone she loved.
