"Ben, you're scaring me, what's going on?" Aries asked walking into the house. As soon as she did, she was enveloped in another hug, if it wasn't for the baby, Aries wouldn't have been as careful to hug her best friend.
Honey took a breath of relief, "I don't think I've ever been happier to see you."
Her word choice didn't help, "Honey? Of course, blimey what happened? Why are you here?" Aries asked.
"We need to sit down and talk, it's a lot." Ben told her, motioning to follow him and Honey into the living room, "Voldemort found us." He spoke rigidly once they settled on the couch.
Aries shook her head, "What do you mean he found you? I didn't think Voldemort would have left England."
"He did, it's a world-wide genocide. He found Honey and I during a concert. Killed a few of our band mates, ones in the hospital, but they don't have good odds." Honey answered, Aries could see the fear built up in her.
Aries took a deep breath letting the information sink in. This wasn't good. That meant Voldemort was gaining a following bigger than Aries realized.
"How did you escape?" Aries asked, the sudden realization that these two were probably on the run.
"We were warned. Dumbledore sent us a letter telling us to be careful, to be ready just in case. I had a spare bag packed with some stuff if we needed it. We were fine for awhile, it was great. We got a gold record, things were starting to take off really well.
But we slipped up. One of the guys thought it would be cool to use magic, just as a prop. Everyone loved it so we did it again at the next show, then the next and the next."
Ben put his head in his hands allowing Honey to finish, "It was in the paper, we had been in it a lot, had a tour schedule and everything. But they were waiting for us when we arrived. The Death Eaters.
I apparated to get home to get to Dylan while Ben and the others tried to fight. Ben and I were separated for a few days because of it. We met back at our house in California, but it was wrecked. We've been going place to place since. It's been a few months."
Aries sighed, her heart breaking at the thought of this happening to her own family, "I'm so glad you're alright. I didn't even know." Aries breathed out shakily, "Dumbledore didn't mention this to the Order."
"He told us to stay low for a while, he said the less people that knew the better."
Aries nodded, knowingly, "Always the secret keeper."
"Ironically that's exactly what we need." Ben admitted, "Honey is a half blood, a Veela. We figure that's why he's chasing us. But we can't run with Dylan, especially not with Abby now."
Aries glanced at the small baby in her best friends arms, she was younger than a year, but and still babbled. This explained why they weren't able to see her all this time.
They wrote letters, but Aries had been partially hurt that they hadn't come to see Estella when she was born.
"Speaking of, this must be Abigail." Aries smiled softly at the infant. Honey nodded, a tender smile on her face.
"You want to hold her?" Aries nodded, standing with Honey as she placed the baby girl in Aries arms. Her eyes were wide and blue, but curious. She wiggled her nose before sneezing and giggling, making herself laugh. Aries felt as if her eyes were a trap of cuteness.
"She's adorable."
"She's a baby." Another voice announced, Aries turning to see Dylan standing rather nervously behind the doorframe.
