This story is NSFW and contains stuffing and weight gain!

Honestly, Quincy hadn't expected Axel's diet to last this long. It was the first week of February, and so far Axel had adhered firmly to his new year's resolution. He'd even dropped a few pounds since the start of January. Quincy was impressed, if a bit... disappointed. Axel seemed to make this same resolution every year, and every year in the past, without fail, he would give up after only a few short weeks.

Quincy was doing his best to be supportive, though the selfish side of him obviously wanted Axel to stay chubby. He'd even considered bringing home sweets and junk food to tease him, but ultimately decided not to. Axel seemed miserable enough about this as is, and torturing him with food he really shouldn't be eating would just be cruel. Quincy may be rude and pushy, but even he had standards.

Still, it was a bit upsetting that Axel clearly hated what he was doing. He'd said on multiple occasions that he wished he could quit the diet and go back to normal, but every time Quincy said "why don't you, then?", Axel wouldn't have a response for him. Quincy had a suspicion that his family had brought up his weight over Christmas and made him self-conscious about it. He didn't want to pry into Axel's personal relationships, but he knew it would take Axel a long while to realize what had upset him. Maybe it wouldn't hurt to ask?

...

The sun had just finished setting by the time Quincy arrived home from work. He unlocked the apartment door and walked inside, absently tugging the knot of his work apron loose and slipping his shoes off. He glanced to his right into the office, looking for Axel, but it was empty aside from their cat Cinders, who was comfortably taking a nap in her favorite chair.

Quincy wondered if he should call out for Axel, but figured that if he wasn't in the office, he might be asleep. Quietly, he started walking towards the living room. It seemed that Cinders wasn't the only one napping, as Axel's snores were audible even down the hallway.

Quincy's eyes widened as he stepped into the room. It was a disaster; there were paper bags and empty wrappers and plastic cups everywhere, and the air was heavy with the smell of salt and grease. He glanced at the logo on one of the bags. It was from a fast food restaurant.

Oh, no.

Quincy looked around for Axel, who he soon discovered was fast asleep on the couch, mouth hanging open and snoring loudly. He was... disheveled, to say the least. His long, russet hair was sweaty and tangled, his beard was full of crumbs, and his shirt barely covered the huge curve of his overfull stomach. One of his hands rested atop it, rising and falling with each labored breath, while the other hung over the side of the couch.

Quincy was shocked. Axel hadn't told him anything about quitting his diet, and the more Quincy thought about it, the more he realized how likely it was that this was a snap decision.

Shaking off the initial surprise, Quincy quietly approached Axel and placed a hand on his belly. Wow, he'd gotten big. Quincy thought about how many bags and wrappers were strewn about, and it sent a little chill down his spine knowing all that food had ended up here. His skin was so warm against Quincy's palm, and so soft...

Quincy shook himself out of his reverie. He needed Axel to wake up. Quincy patted Axel's thigh firmly, and Axel groaned in response. Slowly, he began to stir, reaching up to rub the sleep from his eyes and stifle a yawn. When his eyes eventually opened, he found himself looking up at Quincy. He yelped in surprise and then immediately winced as the sudden motion jostled the contents of his stomach.

"Hey, babe," Quincy said softly. Axel let out a relieved sigh and took Quincy's hand in his.

"Oh, it's just you. Sorry about the mess."
