"Khal," Gil said, his voice serious as he faced me. "Gusto ko lang ipaalam sayo na yung kwarto sa kabila ay kwarto ng kapatid ko."

"Zane?"

"Zane?"

"Abigail." I corrected it.

"Oo. Nasa byahe na 'yon pauwi dito galing kila lola. Medyo palaaway lang 'yon pero mabait naman. 17 pa lang 'yon. Walang boyfriend pero bawal pa siyang mag boyfriend." He even emphasized the last words he just said.

I chuckled. "Are you trying to give me a warning, Gil?"

"Khal, may tiwala naman ako sayo. Alam ko namang wala kang gagawin sa kapatid ko pero gusto ko lang maging malinaw tayo dito." Paliwanag niya.

"Don't worry, Gil. I'll treat your sister like my own little sister. Huwag kang kabahan." I laughed.

"Bata pa 'yon. Protektahan na lang natin pareho."

I nodded and smiled. "Alright. I wouldn't do anything to make her uncomfortable."

"As you should." He strictly said. "Baba muna ako saglit. Ayusin mo muna 'yang mga gamit mo. Baba ka pagkatapos mo."

"Sige."

I felt relieved when he finally left the room. Tama naman ang mga sinabi niya sa akin but I find it so awkward. I understand Gil. I respect his concerns. Hindi naman ako magkakagusto sa kapatid niya. Bata pa 'yon. She's 17 and I'm 22. The 5 years age gap is weird. Besides, she is my best friend's little sister. Heck no!

As I explorer Gil's room, my gaze landed on a black picture frame that is resting on the side table. It's a family picture. Tita Eve is sitting on a single couch while Gil and his sister is standing behind her.

My eyes were locked on Abigail's face. She doesn't have make-up on but her face is literally gorgeous. May hawig sila ni tita Eve. Si Gil konti lang. She's smiling like a sweet girl.

Nababanggit na siya ni Gil sa akin dati pero wala naman akong pakialam do'n. Everytime we talked about her, the only face I could imagine is Gil's face in a girl version. Hindi naman pala sila ganun magkamukha. Napansin ko iyon habang nakatitig ako sa picture.

"Don't even think about her. She has a high wall." I murmured as I turned my back.

Tinuon ko na lang ang atensyon ko sa pag-aayos ng mga gamit ko. I don't want to think about her. Hindi pwede. Gil is gonna kill me. I promise to treat her like my own sister so back off, Bullet. She's not good for you.

After doing my things I received a text from my Tita. Nagtatanong siya kung saan ako nagstay while my condo is under renovation. Sinabi ko nandito ako sa family ni Gil. Napanatag naman siya kasi akala niya kung saan-saan ako pumunta.

"Bulag— sino ka?!" A voice of a girl echoed inside the room.

Muntik ko na mabitawan ang cellphone ko dahil sa gulat sa biglang pagsulpot niya.

She's Gil's sister, Abigail Zane.

"Hoy pangit!" Gil interfered when he entered the room.

"Ay puting tupa!" Siya naman ang nagulat ngayon. "Kuya?" She shockingly said.

"Anong reaksyon 'yan? Parang tanga." Kunot noong sabi sa kanya ni Gil.

"Oh, akala ko kasi…" she looks back at me.

My heart skipped a beat when our eyes met for a second time. What the hell is even that?

"Ah, di mo pa pala alam, 'no? Si Khal nga pala, kaibigan ko 'yan. Roommate ko rin. Dito muna siya sa bahay habang under renovation ang condo niya. Khal si Abi, kapatid ko. Abi si Khal." Gil introduces us to each other.
