Chapter 55

My channel is all set up, but now it's time to make a video. After we make a video for it, Alfie is going to show me how to edit.

It's only Monday, and it's already getting late because we've been making the channel for some time now.

I put my profile picture as my face. I had to take a selfie for it. My back round picture, or the channel art, was a cool edit that Alfie made with me. It was a galaxy back round with a cartoon version of me and my guinea pig and it said Maya Deyes in the center.

"Kids, supper!" Zoe laughs from the second level. We go downstairs, leaving my laptop open.

Zoe made spaghetti and some kind of sauce. We fill our plates and sit down at the table.

"So,how's the channel going?" Zoe asks, smiling up at me.

I swallow a gulp of noodles. "It's going soooo good! Alfie made this cool like animated version of me for my channel art and Oreo too!"

She smiles at Alfie. "That's great."

"When are you going to film your first video?" Alfie asks.

"Hmm..." I think. "Probably tomorrow after school. Wanna be in it?"

"We'll be in the end so people don't think it's fake or anything, but you have to do it alone." Alfie says. "Your probably going to make videos alone in the future, so you have to be used to it."

I nod. Wow, I never thought about that. I have to upload my face onto the Internet every week. I think it will be super awkward editing a video of me talking.

...

I walk upstairs to see my open laptop of my page. I smile at it, seeing my own channel. I never thought I would ever see that, but I've always wanted to be a YouTuber.

I pat Oreo's head, putting some food down for him. I call down a 'goodnight' to zalfie and begin to brush my teeth and get into my night clothes.

I leap into bed and smile up at the ceiling. My own channel. Those words just don't sound real to me.

Do you think "Maya in a deye" is an okay name for Maya?

I thought of it for a long time, because I was planning this chapter for a long time. Tell me what you think about it in the comments, I need to know please :)
