Mayas pov

It's a weekend. YAY! This week, we have Monday to Wednesday off.

I want to hang out with Jeana but I have no clue how to get a hold of her.

I also can't believe school is almost over. I've barely been in year 8 and now it's going to be high school. Actually, I shouldn't be surprised because I started year 8 like 3/4 way through the school year.

It's June first today, and it's only Saturday. For some reason, I feel super excited for this break. It's only 5 days but it feels like it will last forever.

Don't get me wrong, school is great. I just want a break, you know?

I've talked to Zalfie about Jeana's situation, even though she told me to tell no one. I can't even think about what he does to her.

They said they will deal with it. I'm not sure what they mean, but they will.

I walk downstairs to talk to them again.

"Hey Zoe."

She turned to me, holding Pippin. "Hey Maya!"

Alfie showed up in the kitchen too. "Hey."

I sat down in the kitchen while holding Percy. "What do you guys mean when you said you said you will deal with it? About Jeana?"

They looked at each other. "Maya, we had to do this."

I looked at them, confused.

Zoe took a breath and talked again.
