Chapter 45

Sorry everyone. I wrote this chapter before and I left it, forgetting to update. I wrote this chapter before this authors note.

I know I haven't been updating lately, but hey. I've been drowning in homework. We have finals this week and I'm so stressed because AHHHHH

Anyways, again sorry. I'll update lots this summer. Just give me maybe a week or so, and then it's SUMMER HOLIDAYSSSS

I wake up and we go over to the hospital to see Zoe. This time just me and Alfie.

We found out that Zoe has a fractured wrist, broken leg, some deep cuts in her body, and a minor concussion. Seeing her all bandaged up like that made me terrified. I knew that bad things could happen, but I didn't know they could happen to me. Especially Zoë.

Once we arrive at the hospital, we quickly park to run in and see her.

The door is open, so we walk straight in. Zoe is happily chatting with the nurse. She's up straight and seems to have just finished breakfast. The nurse smiles and takes her platter out.

"I'll leave you guys alone." The nurse says as she leaves the small room.

Alfie nods, smiling, and pulls Zoe into a giant hug. "How was your sleep here?"

She kisses him and pulls back to the headboard, smiling. "The bed was pretty solid, and they could have turned the heat up a tad bit, but overall, it wasn't too bad."

Alfie and I laugh and sit down to chat with her.

After a few hours, the nurse comes back in. "Zoe?"

Zoe smiles up at her. "Yes?"

"You can leave soon, but you will have a leg cast and some crutches. I reckon you stay for a couple more days."

Zoe sighs and looks down at her legs. "Okay. But can you turn up the heat a bit this time?"

The nurse laughs nervously. "Sorry bout that, I'll make sure they do."

Zoe smiles. "Thank you."

The nurse nods and leaves the room.

Alfie excitedly jumps up and down. "Your coming home tomorrow then?"

She shrugs. "I rekon not. She says a few days. I'll stay till Friday. Only 2 more days here, don't worry Alfred."

He pouts like a child. "Whyyyyy?"

"Because I want to make sure I'm okay. I don't wanna come out too soon or else I'll break something else!" She laughs as she rubs her leg.

"How does your leg feel?" I ask.

"He shrugs and turns it a bit. "Can't really feel it."

"Are you in any pain?" Alfie asks concerned.

"I can definitely feel the concussion" she starts. "My head feels awful. The doctor did give me some medicine for the pain but it didn't quite do the trick."

Joe comes in. "Hey mate."

Alfie bro hugs him. "Joe hey!"

"Hey Joseph." I say as he hugs me. Zoe smiles as he comes over to give her a hug.

"Broseph!"

"I brought over some goodies." He says holding up a basket full of stuff. He pulls out some snacks, some bottles of soda, chocolate, and the movie Frozen. The basket is stringed with balloons.

"Aw thank you Joe! That's so sweet." She smiles, taking the basket. "But you hate frozen."

"I brought it because I know it's your favorite movie and it always cheers you up." He says shrugging.

She gives him another hug and they put the movie in the little TV in the room.

I'm watching Joe play The Walking Dead game and it's freaking unreal.

For one, this is my favorite game.

For another, this is hilarious.

I totally recommend this because I've been laughing for like 9 hours over random things he says.
