I just rolled my eyes then smirked at him.
He just huffed in irritation when he saw my reaction. I took my phone out of my coat's pocket and started playing subway surfer with my phone hidden under the table.
Sige maglitanya ka lang. Pasok sa kaliwang tenga, labas sa kanan.
He must have noticed that I wasn't paying any attention to whatever he was saying. He slammed his palms on the table to get my attention. I raised my head to meet his eyes and gave him a saccharine smile.
"Yes?", pang-aasar ko.
He just sighed loudly and turned away, walking towards the door. Nagpangalumbaba lang ako at natatawa habang pinapanood siyang umalis. Halos magpang-abot lang sila ni Doktora Gabrielle sa pinto, Gab as I call her. Nakita niya malamang ang mukha ni Dr. Corpuz na paalis kaya bumaling siya sa akin na nakataas ang kilay.
She handed me a cup of frappe and grinned. "Sino ba ang hindi maha-high blood sa'yo. Isa kang dakilang sakit sa ulo. Ganda ng ginawa mo kanina ah."
I wiggled my brows and burst into a fit of not-so-lady-like laughter that includes snorts and some loud table slaps.
"Nakakainis siya eh. And I just gave her a good suggestion, you know. Gagawa na nga ng katangahan di pa nilubos. Minsan lang yan eh."
Gab just shook her head in resignation.
"My friend, kung di ka lang prodigy baka pinatapon ka na ng director. Siraulo ka lang talaga eh pero pwede nang pagtiyagaan. Pasalamat ka malaki ang utak mo!", then she giggled then ran towards the door as I threw some pens towards her.
"Gaga kang Gab ka!", sigaw ko habang humahagikgik.
What more can I say? They're absolutely right. 300% correct. Matigas ang ulo ko. Sakit ako sa ulo ng management. I've had people complaining because of my ALLEGEDLY UNORTHODOX practice. Well for them, it's unconventional since I started my practice in a place that uses a different method and pioneers new techniques still unseen in this country. And then there's this thing about my attitude. I can't help it. That's my trademark.
At least I can save lives, and I do it phenomenally.
