Dissociative fugue (formerly called psychogenic fugue) is a psychological state in which a person loses awareness of their or other important autobiographical information and also engages in some form of unexpected travel. People who experience a dissociative fugue may suddenly find themselves in a place, such as the beach or at work, with no of traveling there. Similarly, they may find themselves somewhere in their home, such as a closet or in the corner of a room, with no memory of getting there. The refers to dissociative fugue as a state of "bewildered wandering." In addition to confusion about identity, people experiencing a dissociative fugue state may also develop a new identity. Dissociative fugue is a rare condition, with prevalence estimates as low as 0.2 percent in the general population. Dissociative fugue states are more common in adults than in children.

Jake
"This is the second time this happened, Jake. She almost lost the baby. She can't afford any more physical or emotional trauma. She might miscarry if this goes on. You need to let her rest until she delivers."
"She already filed an emergency resignation but her last working day is 13 days from today. What else can we do then? 13 days of stress left."
"You know what I mean, Jake. You need to take her away from here, away from the people who can hurt her emotionally. She can handle the physical stressors but she shouldn't be anywhere near Stacy or Terrence. She will lose the baby if this happens again." We didn't have any choice but to admit her in our hospital because it was life or death for her unborn child.
"I am thinking of quitting too. If she leaves, I leave. Her mom can't take care of her if she goes back to the Philippines. This delicate pregnancy is something that needs utmost care and her mother doesn't even have a clue! Damn it!"
"Jake.... Does Dr. Laine know?"
"I haven't told him anything because she told me to stitch my tongue in my mouth. I'm not sure if An told him either. But maybe Stacy will tell him now that she already knows about An's pregnancy." We both sat on the bed, on opposite sides. How unlucky could this girl get?
"Michelle... I need your help." She tapped the blanket, signalling me to come closer.
"Well, aside from helping you release your sexual tension what else do you need me for?" She joked which made me turn my head to her direction.
"Bad joke, sweetheart. Bad joke."
"Okay, okay. Seriously, what do you need help with?"
"Let's run away to New York and take An with us."
"What?"
