"Mom? Mom what are you doing here?!" Crimson half yelled walking into the hotel room.
Jay was sitting speechless on the bed with his head hanging low on his shoulders, and Jinxx stood in the counter with his arms crosses and a hard look on his face. They were in big trouble.
"Mom..."
"I don't want to here it Crimson!" Star said angrily. Crimson did not know if she had ever seen her mother this angry before, and she did not like it. Especially since it was toward her, but what else did she expect. The only thing she was sorry about was that Jayy was in trouble too.
"Mom, let me..."
"No, Crimson! Get your shit and put in the car we are leaving now!" Star yelled red faced.
Crimson was on the verge of tears. Secretly Star was too. She had never had to yell at her daughter like that and it shattered her, but her running away scared her to death.
Crimson did as her mother said, and Jinxx told Jayy to do the same.
For the first part of the car ride it was completely quiet. Crimson did not know what to say, and Star was to upset to say anything anyway.
Crimson finally decided to break the silence. "Mom... I'm sorry..."
Star sighed. She did not know how to feel about it. She knew she did not need to keep Crimson away from the truth of her fathers death, but she did not know how to tell her about it either. "Crimson..." Star sighed again," I guess I really can't blame you... I should not have kept it all from you."
"I just... I needed to know Mom... I know ... I know I didn't know Daddy, but I feel him... all the time. I .... I feel like he's always with me.... I feel like he wanted me to go," Crimson said.
Star did not know what to say to this. Her eyes teared up, but she quickly got rid of the tears before she asked," So... what did she say?"
Crimson bit her lip before she started the story. Star's eyes filled up with tears, but by the end of the story Crimson and her mother were both crying.
Crimson unbuckled, crawled over to the mother, and hugged her," I love you, Momma."
"I love you too, Baby," Star said to her daughter then she gasped as she saw the speeding car from the other side of the road coming toward them faster and faster. She slammed on her breaks, Crimson fell back in her seat, and Star yelled," Hold on, Crimson!"
"Mom!" Crimson yelled.
Star looked at her scared daughter knowing they were going to crash. Then everything went quiet and still for a second, and she saw him. Andy was sitting in the seat behind Crimson smiling at her.
"Protect our baby girl," she told him.
"Always," he said. "Are you ready?"
Star nodded, Andy leaned up and wrapped his arms around their daughter, and they hit.
