Crimson and Star left Jinxx and Jayy's home, and headed back theirs. Traffic was pretty bad because it was about the toke that people were starting to get off work, so they were stopping at lot.

"Okay, I'm sure you're still wondering... what all has happened," Star said looking at Crimson when they got stopped again. Crimson looked back at her mother. All she could bring herself to do was nod her head. Star sighed and looked back out to the road even though the traffic was not yet moving again. "The woman... her names Mary Flanders... and she is ... she is my mother..."

Crimson snapped her head to look at her mother in awe. Star had never spoken about her mom. All she knew was that she had not seen her since she met her father, which was 17 years ago.

Star looked at her daughter and gave her a weary smile with watery eyes. "She wants to get to know you," she said. The traffic started moving again and Star pushed the gas pedal lightly as they started to move forward. "She's cleaned herself up... and wants to become a better person... she wants to be a real grandmother."

"Momma....." Crimson said looking into her mothers face. Star glanced at her and nodded showing her she was listening. "What do you feel about all of it?" Crimson finished.

Star took a deep breath. "I think it's good that she wants to be in your life..."

Crimson heard the tone in her moms voice signaling she was not finished speaking, but Star never said anything else after that. So, Crimson spoke instead," But what about you?"

Star glanced at her daughter. She was trying to avoid the question, but she knew Crimson was still going to keep asking. She sighed and answered the question," I do not trust her... she was never a good mother to me... I'm happy she's trying to make up for you.... but ... let's just say... it's going to be a while before I can forgive and forget..."

Crimson nodded understanding her mother. "That's understandable ... where is she staying?"

"She's staying at our house... until she can get some more money at least... I figured she could sleep on the couch... or sleep in your room and you and share with me for a while if you wanted," Star said.

"Sounds good to me," Crimson agreed.

This was all going to be aa big change... for everyone.
