Chapter 65 "What Goes Around, Comes Around"

New Year's Eve was a lot better than Christmas with no drama or crisis. Grandma Maria had a nice visit with Tony and Harry. She talked of Tony's childhood and of things she had longed to say before her death. It had been very nice but emotional for the three of them. Tony had been lighter since the last meeting with his parents and Harry thought that his dad was healing so it was a good meeting all around.

Something good came out of the Grimmauld Place emergency. The ferret that Harry used to make the antivenin had still been in his bag when he returned home. Harry forgot about the ferret as he had been busy with his family and their Christmas party and found it munching on leftover cookies the next morning. Harry wasn't surprised when he found all the animals in a huge cuddle pile with Alpine, and the ferret curled around with one another later that afternoon. It seemed that they all had made peace with each other and Alpine found a friend. His dad had taken to calling the ferret Mini Cap that was until Uncle Steve announced that he and Bucky had already named the ferret Howard. Steve said that they wanted to remember their friend whom he missed.

Harry had to hide his snickers as Tony would make a face every time someone called it Howard or coo on how cute Howard was. It looked like he had sucked on a lemon whenever the ferret was mentioned. The Ravenclaw was happy everything worked out in the end. Sitting in the empty train carriage Harry had a moment to rest and think about the next two quarts of school. He had gotten up early to make breakfast for his family and to burn off some of his stress that gave him restless sleep, he was constantly thinking of what could happen in the upcoming months. Umbridge had set the no tech rule and new rules were bound to be in place having two weeks to think of new ways to oppress the students. He had not seen Vision in awhile so he had no help interpreting the flash visions he had been getting. So he came physically prepare with Jörmungandr invisible but wrapped around him giving him silent comfort. The snake would be the eyes and ears around the school to know what the toad was up to.

"Hey Har-"

"Shh, Neville, can't you see Harry is sleeping?" Susan scolded. The Hufflepuff waved her wand and sent their bags to the rack above their seats.

"He's not asleep Bones." Draco said entering behind them and sitting down across from the prince opening his paper.

"Draco Darling, can't Harry rest his eyes without you being a snarky brat?" Daphne snapped, sitting next Harry. She noticed that there was an invisible force preventing her from sitting too close to her friend. "Oh, I believe Jörmungandr is here."

"I heard he had a mission of his own this break." Susan said taking the seat on the other side of the resting Ravenclaw.

"It's true he found the snake that bit the twins' father. Then when we had to find another snake to make the Antivenin something strange happen."

"What Happen?" Neville asked sitting next the Slytherin.

"Well, when Kingsley and I caught up to Lokison and Jörmungandr we saw every serpent in the reptile house was all stretched up as if standing to attention before us and then they all bowed one by one as Jörmungandr slithered by."

"Amazing." The Gryffindor was in awe and Harry wanted to laugh but kept his eyes closed to keep his resting façade.

"Hello everyone, sorry we're late." Hermione and Luna entered the carriage with Theo trailing after. "The ministry was backed up and Luna's portkey was delayed."

"Port key? Where did you go Luna?" Daphne asked, patting the seat next to her inviting the younger Ravenclaw to sit with her.

"Father and I went to Mt Fiji looking for the furagi that live there. We had a lovely time." Luna said with that dreamy look on her face as she smiled at Theo who sat next to her taking her hand in his.
