After passing, we went to another small box of a room to wait. There was food and water there, and places to sit. It was nice. There was a key to take off the targets too.

Todoroki was here already. That wasn't a surprise. But was he the only one? I didn't see a single other person from our class and there were only thirty spots left open.

Our group went over to talk to him. He stood up when he saw us approaching. Sure enough, we were the only ones who had passed so far. And even Todoroki had just finished a few minutes ago. That really wasn't looking good for UA.

The number of open slots kept ticking down. Other students would wander in from time to time. No one from UA. Where were they all?

20 spots left. Kaminari walked through the door. Wait. Hadn't he been with... Bakugo walked through. And... and...

And Kirishima walked through the door.

I relaxed a little. I knew how badly he wanted this. He'd probably be crushed if he didn't pass. Just like he had been with Bakugo. That was why I was so relieved. Naturally.

Behind their group, Midoriya, Uraraka, and Sero walked in. They must have found each other when the class got split up. That was everybody though. There were still a lot of people from our class out there and there were so few spots left.

"Hey guys!"

Kirishim and Kaminari came over right away.

"You guys beat us," Kirishima said. "Have you been here long?"

"No, we just got here a few minutes ago," I said. "Todoroki beat us."

"I thought Midoriya was having you all stay together," Kaminari said.

Momo nodded. "We were all sticking close. But some second-year from Ketsubutsu Academy split us up."

"How'd your fight go?" I asked.

"It was awesome," Kirishima answered. "Kaminari really pulled through. I didn't do a lot."

"He got turned into a weird flesh blob," Kaminari piped up.

Jiro dropped her meat bun. "Gross."

Ten spots left open. The announcements were coming faster now. Our class had... nine people left who had to pass. That wasn't good.

It was a countdown now. Who was getting the last spots? Six, four, three, one. A buzzer went off around the entire arena. The last few students would be trickling in now. It took a while, but then, all at once, the rest of class 1-A entered the anteroom. Took them all long enough.

"Now for the hundred of you who passed," came the announcement, "please direct your attention to the screen."

There was a large screen hanging over us in the room. It turned on and showed a cityscape. It looked exactly like the one outside. Bombs went off. They exploded the city, the factory, the mountains.

It was a disaster zone. We'd be rescuing people.

Sure enough, on the screen we could see little kids and older people, and a few middle-aged people as well. All of them were injured. Professional injured people, from HUC. We'd be saving them.

After a few brief minutes, a bell went off. Time for the second leg. The roof opened up again and the four walls slowly lay down on the ground. Time to go save some people.

"Going off on your own again, Bakugo?" Kaminari called as he trotted after him.

Kirishima took a step after them, then stopped. "L/n, you should come with us."
