"Well, well. Hello there." I stumbled back as Kirishima stepped out of the shadows.
"Wait, you're usually with Bakugo," Denki said from behind me. Kirishima just smirked. I heard an explosion near us and pieced it together. Bakugo had let off an explosion then had gone a different way to confuse us, and it worked. I looked up to see Kirishima scowling behind me, which confirmed my theory. Bakugo had blown his cover.
In a moment, Kirishima was smirking again. He rushed towards me and I froze.
How am I going to fight him? If I turn into a fox, he'll know.
Just before Kirishima got to me, Mina pushes me out of the way, then dodged the attack. I silently thanked Mina, then jumped up to help.
"Don't worry about me, go find Bakugo or someone else. I'll be fine," Mina shouted as she dodged again. I hesitated and look at Denki. He nodded and we ran off, looking for Kirishima's partner.
It didn't take long to find him, a chain of explosions giving away his location. We ran over to the site to find Midoriya fighting with Bakugo. There was no one else around so Denki and I left to look for other hero's.
We came across Ojiro and Hagakure a few minutes later. They had snuck past the other villains and were almost to the location of the dummies. I ran at Ojiro, shrinking into a fox to dodge an attack. He was surprised but quickly recovered.
Up until then, I could smell four people but then one person's smell decreased significantly. I paused and looked around, spotting a pair of gloves and shoes laying on the floor. An invisibility quirk. That must be Hagakure. I saw Denki looking around frantically and made a quick decision.
"Denki, switch!" He looked up at me and I saw confusion cloud his face for a minute.
Shoot! I'ma fox still!
He nodded and rushed at Ojiro while covering his body with yellow lightning. I sighed, not looking forward to the explanation he would demand. I sniffed the air, catching Hagakure's sent again and I raced after it. She was heading toward the underground bunker where the targets were hidden.
I was able to catch up to her just before she reached the entrance. I tripped her in my fox form then changed back into a human. The designers had customized my costume so that it wouldn't fall off if I became a fox. When I changed back into a human, I kept the ears and nose for extra hearing and smell.
"Awww," I heard from behind me. "That is so cute! How do you do that? Can I touch them?" I spun around to see...nothing, but Hagakure's scent was coming from that direction. I felt warm fingers touch my ears and helped in surprise.
"Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to scare you or anything. It's just, your ears look so fluffy and cute!" I smiled at the voice and swung my leg, feeling it hit something invisible.
"Hey! I know I didn't ask for permission, but you didn't' need to kick me!" I tried to stifle my growing smile as I basically saw her flailing her arms frantically. "Oh wait, we're in the middle of training, oops."
That was it. I burst out laughing and put my hands on my knees, almost missing them. After a few moments, I straightened up again and sniffed the air. While I was laughing, Hagakure had run off into the bunker.
She's smart...ish.
I raced after her, into the bunker. Once inside, the lights flickered and a maze of hallways meet me.
Great. My nose won't help much here. Probably just confuse me.
As I took my first step, an explosion shook the ground, causing dust to rain down. I stumbled and fell against a wall, covering my extra sensitive nose from the clouds of dust. I changed my nose and ears back to their human shapes, but not before I heard a screech. It sounded like Hagakure.
I ran towards the noise, avoiding piles of rubble and holes in the wall and floor. I switched back to my fox nose once the dust had settled a bit. I followed her sent to a hallway with a collapsed ceiling. The sun shone through the large hole, giving plenty of light to see by. I climbed over the pile of rubble and jumped down on the other side.
At the end of the passageway was a door. I cracked it open, expecting an attack at any time. On the opposite side of the room, the dummies were lying on the floor. I looked around but didn't see anyone. I sniffed the air again. Hagakure was close...behind me? I turned and gasped, covering my mouth.
