"Hurry! Quick!"
"So much blood...! These ashes...! Are these from our own men!?"
"It doesn't matter! We need to save him!"
A small group of soldiers split into two groups, holding Wu and Aether's bodies as they waded into a waist-deep pool of pure, glowing water held in the Sangonomiya shrine.
"Submerge them completely! I need them to be fully encompassed in hydro." Kokomi said, channeling the full power of her vision as the soldiers lowered Wu and Aether into the water. "Let them go, please, and exit the pool." Kokomi ordered, and the soldiers waded out.
The hydro from her vision glowed, coalescing into the form of a large jellyfish.
Kokomi closed her eyes, her vision glowing a gleaming blue as the jellyfish melted into the pool of water. A single ripple slowly spread through the entire pool, spreading out from where the jellyfish made contact.
Slowly, but surely, the water began to light with a dull glow. The pool glowed brighter and brighter, until all but Kokomi were forced to avert their eyes. After a few seconds, the light began to dull as it seeped into the bodies of Son Wu and Aether, their wounds closing slowly but surely.
Kokomi swayed where she stood, being caught by Gorou before she could fall. She let out low, exhausted breaths, this act having costed a great deal of her energy.
"R-Retrieve them..." Kokomi said, and the soldiers rushed into the pool, hoisting Wu and Aether up as they were carried to the edge. They immediately began CPR on Aether, who hacked up a mouthful of water as his body convulsed. He sat up, clutching the part of his head where Scaramouche had stomped him.
"D-Did we lose...!?" Aether asked.

The soldiers nodded.
"Wu... Wu!" Aether's eyes widened as he pushed past the soldiers,
"Th-They're not responding...!" A soldier yelled in a panic, frantically pumping Wu's chest.
GRIP!!!
The soldier let out a panicked cry as Wu's hand clamped around his neck. In an act of pure instinct, Wu exploded to life, throwing the soldier like a ragdoll, only for Gorou and Aether to catch the man with their bodies, impacting a wall hard, but being otherwise undamaged.
Wu was on his feet in the blink of an eye, his stance low as his eyes blazed open, bloodshot and dark.
"Lord Son, be calm!!!" The soldier around him staggered back, their hands raised. "You're back on Watatsumi... you're safe!" A soldier said.
"Hah... hah... hah..." Wu's breathing calm, as the hair on what was left of his tail smoothed down.
"Breathe, Lord Son, you're alive. You're good as new..." The soldiers slowly eased up, standing up straight.
"The soldiers...!" Wu hissed quietly, his pupils shuddering.
...
"L-Lord Son..." A soldier lowered his gaze.
...
"How many...?" Wu asked.
...
...
...
"Thirty seven men." The Gorou said, gaving gone back to holding Kokomi steady. "The Shogun has returned to Tenshukaku, and the Fatui Harbingers have dissapeared. They don't know that you're alive, so we may have time before they come to demand terms of surrender..." He said.
