It all happened so quickly in Aether's eyes.
An explosion of light, red and gold shining so bright that he, Miko, and Kazuha were forced to shield their eyes.
An ear splitting crash, and the sky-rending roar of what came afterwards.
The golden sheen of a dragon as it tore past Ei's form, only for it to dissolve into the form of Wu.
When it was all over, Son Wu was on his knees, his lifeblood and life energy having bled away in their entirety.
But Ei... she had taken monumental damage as well. Her right arm, the arm with which she wielded the Musou Isshin and the Engulfing lightning. The arm with which she had carried out her every order, the arm with which she had administered every judgement and punishment.
Son Wu had taken it.
They approached slowly, cautiously.
Aether and Kazuha fell to Wu's sides, their hands on his shoulders. Despite it all, Wu was breathing. Slowly, hoarsely. Perhaps carried by nothing else but the feeling of victory after he brought down a god.
Miko approached Ei slowly, a pained look in her eyes.
She gazed on at her friend. Her Shogun. Her god. There was no feeling of immense pressure. No crushing presence. Raiden Ei had lost her will with the arm she had so long used to enact it.
"Ei..." Miko said. "It is over..." She said. "It is done... All of it. The vision hunt decree... your plan to bring Eternity to our nation... You've lost..." She said.
"..." Ei did not respond, her back to Miko, and her gaze remaining downcast.
"No..."
Kazuha and Aether's eyes widened as Son Wu uttered, his voice a hoarse croak.
"I am not done with her...!" Son Wu hissed, a sinister grin tearing across her face.
"Wu...!?" Aether gasped.
"L-Lord Son...!" Kazuha said.
The two warriors, injured in their own right, were sent skidding back as a burst of ki erupted from Son Wu's form. Despite it all, there was still something left within this man's soul.
He turned, taking slow step after slow step towards Ei.
"Stop, Wu..."
Miko said, putting herself in front of Wu, her arms parted.
"...Miko." Wu said, his gaze narrowing.
"I know what I said... But this... this is the best outcome. Neither of you have to die today." Miko said. "Please... Do not spoil your victory." Miko said.
...
...
...
"You misunderstand, Miko..." Wu said, smirking.
"Wha...?" Miko's eyes widened slightly.
"I just wanna talk to her." Wu said, his ki rising.
Miko's eyes erupted with shock as space began to warp behind Wu's back, his energy bending space, pulling it, forcing it apart...
"How did you learn to...!?" Miko uttered.
Kazuha, Miko, Aether and Paimon (who had been hiding a mile away the entire fight) watched on as a tear in space opened up behind Wu, spreading exponentially at breakneck speed.
"Gh...!" Aether grabbed Paimon, shielding her as the spreading darkness swallowed them up. Kazuha didn't move, only able to stare in shock as it took him as well. Miko was still, knowing the nature of this event, but utterly confused as to just how he was doing it. Ei still did not seem to register it, as she too, and her entire realm was swallowed up.
