Son Wu gazed at Aether as the Traveler strode to one side of the floor, while Signora strode to the other. The two elemental fighters stopped at opposite ends, turning to glare at each other.

Based on what he had seen, Aether didn't have much of a chance against Signora. But then again, according to Miko, he'd been spending this entire week undergoing training that would allow him to survive against the Shogun...

In addition, this Aether, like him, had seen a lot of shit in this nation. Perhaps he'd hardened beyond the goody-two-shoes he was always trying to be.

Signora stared down Aether, standing tall and confident.

"Do you think you're impressing anyone with this display? Perhaps if your monkey friend joined you then you would have had a chance, but alone, you'll amount to nothing but an agonizing death..." Signora said.

"Arm yourself." Aether said, gripping his sword as the gaps in his armor flashed with purple electro.

"Damn!" Wu thought, his tail flicking with excitement.

Signora's brow twitched at the hardness of Aether's tone, before her stern gaze melted into a sinister grin.

"Very well...!" Signora hissed, manifesting a catalyst that hummed with dormant cryo energy.

As both fighters took their stances, the Raiden Shogun raised her head, standing tall at the center of her altar. A balance ruined by Wu, who sat casually on the steps a ways to the Shogun's left.

"Begin." The Shogun uttered.

FLASH!!!

In a blast of electro energy, Aether's silhouette disappeared, flashing across the floor like a bolt of lightning and ending in a lunging stab towards Signora's throat. The Harbinger's eyes widened as her hand tore upwards, her finger gripping around the tip of the Traveler's blade mere inches before it struck true in the softest portion of her neck.

"Fool...!" Signora smirked.

GSSSHHHT!!!

With a snap of her fingers, a massive blast of cryo energy erupted in a wave around her, bursting outwards in a misty cloud of cold death. The air grew foggy, rimes of ice tore across the floor and walls, and the temperature of the room plummeted. Aether flashed back, tearing his sword from Signora's grip as the ice pursued him. He had avoided being frozen solid in the official wave, but he quickly registered the danger that the temperature drop meant.

Immediately, his outfit flashed turquoise, still maintaining electro as the base element, but calling upon a light film of anemo to trap some of his bodyheat.

Neither Wu nor the Shogun budged as frost crawled onto the stairs of the altar, still focused on the fight before them.

Aether hissed to himself, before darting back in. His sword flashed with electro as he swung in intense, sparkling arcs. Signora simply smiled, parrying and backpedaling, throwing out a cryo attack here and there to keep Aether from trapping her against a wall or corner.

"You're too aggressive... she'll entrap you...! But if you don't start applying damage soon, the temperature will catch up to you..." Wu chewed his lip, his mind working to try and see what Aether was planning.

"I use this from time to time as a method of... interrogation... A cold so sheer that it brings only agony... sapping away one's very life force as their body heat bleeds out of them like blood from a stuck pig... You'd be wise to give up and let the Shogun take your head now, or you'll be lingering in pure agony for quite a while..." Signora said.
