Wu let out a low breath, shimmying side to side as he let his body become relaxed, flowing like a noodle where he stood. He boosted off the ground with the balls of his feet, hopping side to side as he rolled his arms. He finished his routing, landing in a relaxed posture as he gazed on at the Shogun with a calm, but resolute look.
"Are you ready?" The Shogun asked.
"As I'll ever be, this fight'll be a veritable-"
"To die." The Shogun corrected.

...
"No. No, I am not..." Wu said. "In truth, I don't want anything to do with you." Wu said. "In fact, I would rather much like to see the person inside of you..." Wu said.

The Shogun's gaze hardened to the smallest degree as it manifested its naginata.
...
"Hah... Alright, I'll force you to bring me to her..."

Aether trudged out of the doorless doorway to Raiden Ei's altar, slowly descending the stairs with shaky, exhausted steps. A quiet emptiness was present in his eyes, and his breaths were low and slow.
In his time with Wu, he had learned a bit more about the mastery over energy he had spoken about. Not just learning to control the elements and the power they came from, but of being truly in tune with that energy. Building it up within himself and mastering his control over it, until he was able to feel the energy of other beings.
With that experience came the ability to see more than what was visible, to feel the true pressure of a being. The true measure of their power.
...
And what Aether had left within that room... Son Wu, and the Raiden Shogun.
The entire complex of Tenshukaku, no... the entirety of Inazuma island was being crushed under their auras. A storm of energy that far eclipsed the thunderstorm that swallowed the sky above. Crushingly oppressive, utterly pacifying to all but the two who held those energies.
"Traveler, are you alright...?" Paimon asked, floating just above his shoulder as she looked to her friend with concern. "Th-The air is suffocating... is that Wu, or the Shogun...!?" Paimon said worriedly.
"It's... It's fine... I just need to get refreshed... to recover... and then I can help Wu-"
GWOOOOOOOOM!!!!!!
Paimon shrieked as the top of the Shogun's palace was annihilated by a shaft of blue light.
"Th-That was Wu's kamehamewhatever!!!" Paimon said.
Aether's brow twitched, and his lips curled back in a fearful grimace.
The exchange had begun, and he had zero will to join it.
KRASH!!! KRATASH!!!
One of the walls of the palace was cleaved open by two boundless blasts of electro.
The storm began to thunder even more, purple lightning tearing through the skies and crashing down around the palace.
But little by little, another color joined the purple bolts... a brilliant, blazing blue.
Bolts of blue and purple crashed down onto the palace as the explosive impacts of the clashing warriors echoed from within the palace, each one destroying another portion of the palace, sending an eruption of wood and stone into the air, the only part of the battle visible to Aether.
