The red light shined brightly against the blue autumn sky. The leaves were slowly turning red now, their vibrant green slowly drying away. Harumi tapped her jade acrylics against her steering wheel mindlessly yet matching the beat to the band playing in the background.
Vania had sent her a text earlier that day, well twenty minutes ago, pleading for Harumi to come over, and to check Nicki's recent Ninsta pic. Harumi didn't have Nicki's friended, Vania was extremely territorial about him, not even allowing Harumi to like his photos, not that she would, he wasn't her type. Vania asked, so of course she checked and all she saw was a ganache frosting chocolate cake decorated on a baker artist level. She hadn't known what to look for until she looked at the tags, @twinkletoesgracieS that was Seliel's tag, but next to it was what shocked her: #couple goals. Harumi gasped when she had looked at her phone immediately texting Vanie back in all caps: is this fr? Vania responded with a crying emoji.
Typical.
Now Harumi was driving to Vania's house, her parents didn't care to ask where she was going when she left or when she was going to be back, not that she cared. They didn't seem to care anyway.
The light turned green and Harumi continued to drive, her mind moving anywhere but the road.
What did Vania want to discuss so badly that it couldn't be discussed over the phone?

Vania's house was larger than Harumi's. It made sense, Vania's dad was a rich business men, the owner of VengeStone Industries, a large steel company, Vania didn't know the details. Harumi pulled up, her dark green corvette sliding into the driveway.
Grabbing her purse and tightening her cardigan to protect herself from the breeze, Harumi stepped out of the car. She typed a quick Im here to Vania as she made her way up the steps. She felt her phone ding against her palm as she reached the front door, she didn't need to check to know that it was Vania's thumbs up on her message.
An old butler opened the door before she could knock as if he was expecting her, which he probably was since she did say she was here.
"Good afternoon Ms. Harumi," The butler greeted, moving out of the way so Harumi could enter. She nodded her head in acknowledgement, her eyes scanning the front entrance. The walls were white marble with gold accents on the wall; she had no doubts that the gold wasn't real, Vania didn't seem the kind to be fake. Fake about her belongings that is.
"Ms. Vania! Your guest is here!" The Butler called up the stairs. Soft footsteps, belonging to Vania, padded across the ground of the upstairs until Harumi was met with the red face of Vania Vangel.
"Oh my gosh, Vania, are you okay?" Harumi asked, making her way up the stairs. When she reached the top she put an arm around the still weeping Vania, moving them to where Vania previously came from.
"No I'm not okay!" Vania cried, her manicured fingers rubbing at her eyes. No makeup, Harumi noted as strange. Vania always wore heavy makeup as if she was concealing her true face.
"Is Tox here?" Harumi asked quietly, hoping that Vania had someone to comfort her during the time she was driving over. Vania nodded, sniffling.
"She stayed the night yesterday, she's the one who found out about little miss boyfriend stealer," Vania's voice turned sour at the mention of Seliel. Harumi rubbed calming circles into her back. The two walked in silence with the occasional wail or sniffle from Vania and the quiet but gentle shushes of Harumi.
They turned into Vania's room and Harumi had to keep her jaw from dropping. Vania's room was the size of her own great room. There was a four poster bed, a chandelier, and 9 foot tall windows covered by golden silk curtains worth more than Harumi's mother's wedding ring. Tox was lying on the bed, typing furiously on her phone as if she was searching for something.
