Chapter 48

Nya pulled out her phone from her back pocket, writing down notes for Jay's sixteenth birthday party. Jay sat on his bed scrolling through birthday decorations. Surprisingly, the two worked in silence around each other. Jay dropped links for party decorations and different caterers into the shared document while Nya reviewed each and placed a check or an X next to it.

They've gone through this process before with Nya's Quinceanera a few months prior in April, and the celebration ended up being a huge blast. Now, with Jay's birthday party coming up in the next two weeks. The two needed to look over all the details, so Jay's "Super Sixteen" as the guys called it, would be a hit.

"Ugh, if I have to look at one more balloon, my eyes will explode," Jay said, dropping his phone onto his bed. He rubbed his hands over his eyes, effectively making them even redder than before.

Nya glanced up from her phone, an unimpressed look on her face. "You're the one who procrastinated on this." She said, shutting off her own phone.

"Yeah, but like it's been hours," Jay groaned, laying his back on his duvet. "What's so super about sixteen anyway?"

Nya shrugged, joining Jay on the bed while leaving some room for the FSM as her mom would put it. "I don't know. You should ask Lloyd. Ever since he hit sixteen, he's been a bit different."

"Lloyd hasn't changed since he was born." Jay disagreed, eyes staring up at his light blue ceiling. He wondered if he was going to repaint it a darker blue to signify his change in age.

"I don't know. Going to parties, getting taken to the police station, talking with girls? Fifteen-year-old Lloyd wouldn't dare." Nia traced the lightning pattern on Jay's bed. Jay raised his eyebrows.

"Talking to girls? When did this happen?" Jay questioned, raising himself on his elbows to face Nya.

"What he didn't tell you?" Nya smirked, reaching Jay's gaze. "I guess you're not his best friend after all."

Jay rolled his eyes. "Whatever, whatever. Who is the lucky girl?"

"Lucky?" Now it was Nya's turn to raise her eyebrows.

"Yeah, lucky. No one has ever reached the talking stage with Lloyd, let alone date him." Jay clarified. Nya hummed. "So who is she?"

"Harumi Jade," Nya said with a hint of disgust in her voice.

"Who is that?" Jay questioned, trying to match that name to a face. "Wait, is she one of Vania's? The platinum blonde one?"

"Yeah, she seemed to quickly attach herself to Vania the day she met her." Nya crossed her arms over her chest. She had a bad history with Vania–not as bad as Cole's, but bad enough that even the slight mention of Vania's name left a bad taste on her tongue. Who would want to mention their ex-bully's name?

"Not surprised about that. But I'm surprised how she got mixed up with Lloyd. I didn't know Lloyd was into blondes." Jay revealed.

"I'm not going to lie. At some point I questioned if Lloyd was into girls at all," Nya admitted with a laugh. Jay joined her. "I mean, last time I saw a girl try to confess to him, he literally ran away."

"Oh my FSM! I remember that; it was your quinceañera. I swear he and Frankie haven't even looked at each other since then."

The two laughed at Lloyd's poor attempts at romance for a solid 2 minutes before they settled once again.

Jay's phone dinged beside him. Nya eyed it as Jay picked it up. On his screen was a post from Cole's Instagram, which wasn't that strange since Cole posted sometimes–not as much as Kai but sometimes. What was strange was the caption

"Oh my FSM!" Jay said, reading the hashtags. Nya's eyes widened as she took the phone from Jay's hands.

"What?" She said, looking at the picture. Jay, with one hand over his mouth in shock, pointed to the caption. Nya's jaw dropped.

"Cole and Seliel are official?" Never could speak after that.

okay so it's been a year... stuff happens and um... so after watching dragon rising season 4 part 2, i became depressed cuz of the ending, no I won't spoil it. So instead of wallowing in sadness i decided to continue writing until the next season comes back and undoes whatever this season's ending did. 

So yeah, jaya found out about coliel, and it was a huge shocker because Cole hasn't been in a relationship, an official relationship, with anyone for over a year because of Vania, of course. 

so yes, 3/5 relationships are established, just waiting for Kailor and Llorumi...
