CHAPTER 56: Stick With You
(Zoe's POV)
I didn't have any choice but to look at his car as it slowly faded off my eyes. That's it. Now we're back to being strangers again. Bakit ganon? Kung kalian ayos na, saka naman darating ulit ang problema. Hindi ba pwedeng maging maayos nalang ang lahat? Paulit-ulit nalang kase.
It seems like we're running on circles – in an endless road of problems.
Nakakapagod. Nakakasawa.
I turned around only to find out Tristan standing behind me.
"Hey." I said acknowledging him as I sighed.
"What happened?"
"He just..." I paused as I heaved out a deep sigh again, "left." I gave him a sad smile and shook my head. "Don't worry about it."
"What about us? Do I have to worry about us?" he asked, rather hesitant and worried.
I took a step towards him and I held his hands. "You have nothing to worry about Tristan. I'm staying with you, okay? No matter what, I'll stick with you."
"Natakot ako." He breathed. "Natakot ako nung tumalikod ka at hinabol siya. Natakot ako na baka hindi ka na lumingon ulit. Natakot ako na baka iwan mo na ako nang tuluyan," he admitted.
I squeezed his hands assuring him. "Wala ka namang dapat ikatakot kase mahal kita, sobra sobra. Ngayon pa ba kita iiwan na alam ko na na pwede na tayong dalawa? Wala ng Erinn, wala ng bata... dito lang ako sa'yo kase mahal kita."
"I love you more. Ella, you're everything that I've ever wanted. I can't afford to lose you. I can't even imagine a life without you. I'll be forever thankful that you chose to stay with me."
"I didn't choose to stay with you, my heart did."
We've decided to just set aside what had happened earlier. We cleared our minds as we went through our responsibilities. Pagkatapos niya akong ihatid sa shop ay pumunta narin siya sa office. Pagdating ko sa shop, sinalubong agad ako ng mga employees ko ng isang welcome party. It was very surprising. I was really touched that I nearly became emotional. Hindi ko alam na aware pala sila na umuwi na ako. Pagkatapos ng short party ay bumalik narin kami sa kanya kanya naming trabaho. Marami-rami din akong inasikaso kase isang buwan din akong nawala.
