CHAPTER 57: Fight for Love

(Zoe's POV)

Five days.

Five days have passed.

I was expecting for Kuya Sky to call me and ask me why I'm still here but I haven't received any which is quite strange. I was planning to tell him about my decision but I'm still collecting my guts. I have been practicing my lines. Alam kong magagalit siya pero bahala na. Maiintindihan naman niya siguro diba? He's my brother, I know he will.

Katext ko ngayong si Tristan. Sinabi niya sa akin na malelate siya sa pagsundo dahil magkakaroon sila ng emergency meeting. Um-oo nadin ako. Ayaw niya kase na hindi siya ang susundo sa akin. Gusto niya siya yung kasama ko papuntang trabaho at pauwi. Hindi na nga din siya pumapayag na mag drive ako. Nagta-type pa lang ako nang may tumawag sa akin mula condo.

"Hello?"

"Good afternoon Ma'am. I'm sorry if I have disturbed you but someone here is looking for you."

"Who is it?"

"A certain Mr. Sky Lopez, he said he's your brother Ma'am."

Natigilan ako. Si Kuya. Nandito. Ito na yung kinakatakot ko. Ito na yung pinaghahandaan ko.

"Maam? Are you still there?" I came back from my senses when the person on the other line spoke again.

"Y-yeah, I know him. Tell him to wait for a while. I'll be there in a few minutes." I said and I bid my goodbye. Agad akong nag-ayos at niligpit ang mga gamit ko. Nagpaalam ako sa mga employees na mauuna ng umuwi. I immediately got myself a cab. I texted Tristan.

To: Tristan

Hey babe, you don't have to pick me up anymore. I'll just take a cab to the condo. Kuya's there.

My heart started to rumble the moment the cab reached the building. Squeezing my cold hands, I got off from the car. I walked inside with shaky feet. My face started to pale the time I saw my brother waiting in the lounge with unreadable expression.

"K-kuya..." I spoke, stammering, upon reaching where he is.

He looked at me with a glare. He stood up.

"I know a coffee shop just a few walks from here Kuya. Doon nalang tayo mag-usap." I suggested, my throat started to dry.

"No." his voice is so cold and dangerous. "Let's go to your unit and pack your things."

Pagkatapos niyang sabihin yun ay kinaladkad niya ako patungo sa elevator hanggang sa makarating kami sa tapat ng unit ko.

"Buksan mo ang pinto."

"K-kuya... Kuya hindi ako pwedeng umalis."

"Buksan mo ang pinto Zoe. Wag mong ubusin ang pasensya ko sayo!"

"Kuya naman..." my tears started to flow.

"Ayaw mong buksan ang pinto? Sige! Dumiretso nalang tayo sa airport." He started dragging me again pero nagmatigas ako.

"Kuya dito lang ako... please... I can't leave. I can't go back to London. Kuya please..."

Napahilamos siya sa kanyang mukha. "Para ano?! Para magpakatanga ka na naman? Ha? Ganun ba? Zoe, you told me you are just going to have your closure! Ano na naman tong ginagawa mo?!"

"Kuya alam ko pero hindi ko kaya..."

"Kaya mo Zoe, tanga ka lang talaga. Ngayon i-uuwi na kita para matigil na yang katangahan mo!"

"Hindi ako aalis kuya. If you think this is stupidity then so be it! I've decided to be stupid just to be with him!"

"Ella..." I heard Tristan's voice behind us. The moment I saw him, I quickly ran into his side. He was catching his breath like he came from a marathon. He immediately hugged me.

"Keep your hands off my sister!" Kuya said through gritted teeth.

"Give it a rest Kuya. I want to stay, just respect my decision."

"You really expect me to do that? Zoe, that bastard is just going to hurt you again and again. Don't you realize that?"

I just stared at him. He closed his eyes out of sheer frustration. Lumakad siya papunta sa akin at hinila ako.

"I'll take you home whether you like it or not."

Tristan blocked his way. "She wants to stay, just let her." He said. Then everything happened in a blur. Narealize ko nalang nakaupo na si Tristan sa sahig hawak ang labi niya. Kuya gave him another punch. "That is for leaving my sister before!" I froze on my track. He punched Tristan again. "And that is for cheating on her!" Natauhan ako at agad kong inawat si kuya. Tristan's nose is bleeding and he has got a cut on his lips.

"Kuya tama na!"

"Kulang pa yan sa lahat ng katarantaduhan na ginawa mo sa kapatid ko!" he yelled. Dinuro na ni Kuya si Tristan.

"I said stop it! Kuya tama na kase! Wag mo na akong pakialaman!" I shouted on him. He was stunned of my reaction. This is the very first time I ever shouted on my brother.

Dumating ang mga securities. They were about to hold him down but Tristan raised his hand to stop them. He was still on the floor.

Kuya clenched his jaw. "I can't believe you Zoe." He laughed bitterly. "Trust me, you are just going to be miserable with him."

"Trust me too kuya, I'll be more miserable without him."

"Sa oras na saktan ka ulit ng gagong yan, huwag na huwag kang tumakbo sa akin. I won't be there again Zoe. I am not going to be there to comfort you. Not again." He said sternly as he turned his back on me. Right there, I knew I lost my prince.
