Chapter 6

CHAPTER 6: Wedding Day

(Zoe's POV)

After hours of travel, I finally arrived in London. Pagkalabas ko sa airport, nakita ko agad ang aking napakagwapong kapatid.

"Kuya Sky!" I shouted waving my hand.

He turned his gaze on my direction. I immediately ran towards him and gave him a rib-breaking hug.

"Kuya, I missed you so much!" The last time we saw each other was last December. We celebrated Christmas together as a family in our mansion. But it wasn't that good really. Siyempre nagtatanga-tangahan pa ako sa mga panahong iyon and my brother really hates it. He hates to see me in that situation. At vocal siya doon.

He chuckled as he hugged me back. "I missed you so much too princess. I'm so happy to see you again... Especially that you're fine now." He held my cheeks.

I smiled and he gently pinched my nose.

After exchanging hugs and kisses. we led to his car. Habang nasa biyahe ay di ko mapigilan na i open up yung di niya pagsasabi sakin ng planong pagpapakasal. "Kuya, di mo ako sinabihan na magpapakasal ka na pala." I pouted. Kunwari nagtatampo ako sa kanya. Well, nagtatampo talaga ako.

"Hindi ko rin naman yun pinlano. Yes we are engaged for a long time but the date of the wedding isn't set yet. Basta bigla ko nalang napagdesisyunan na pakasalan siya agad-agad. Medyo cramming nga eh." Bahagya siyang tumawa. "Swerte ko no? Gwapo kasi to." Sabi niya sabay pa pogi pose. Nag d-drive siya sa lagay na yan.

"Conceited as ever Kuya." I rolled my eyes and I grinned.

"Yeah right."

And we both laughed. Geez! Namiss ko talaga 'to, sobra. Namiss ko yung mga bonding namin nun. We are always together, sa bahay, sa mga gala, lagi kaming nag bibisikleta sa village tuwing hapon or nag jojoging sa umaga. Senior ako nung mag graduate siya ng college kaya natigil na kase sumunod na siya dito.

As we reached our house, sinalubong agad kami nina Mommy and Daddy.

"Hey dad, hey mom!" I kissed them in their cheeks.

"Hey honey, how are you? Kamusta ang biyahe?" tanong ni Mommy.

"Okay lang, nakakapagod nang konti." I answered.

"Why don't you take a rest first? Baka may jetlag ka pa." Dad suggested.

I nodded. Nakakspagod din kase and ilang oras na biyahe. I then went up to my room and I quicly dozed to sleep.

"Are you not ready yet, princess?" Kuya shouted downstairs.

"Almost! Just give me a minute!" I answered.

Pagkatapos kong ayusin ang sarili ko, bumaba na ako.

"I'm ready, tara na?"

Pupuntahan namin yung designer ng mga susuotin sa kasal. I'll fit my dress for some adjusments isa ako sa mga brides maid. Dinaanan muna namin si ate Clary sa apartment niya, sasama din daw siya kase di pa niya nafifit yung gown niya pagkatapos nitong i-adjust.

Sinukat ko na yung dress ko. It's a champagne colored tube dress na ankle length. It was simple but elegant. Lumabas na ako sa fitting room pagkatapos, okay naman na pala yung damit, kasyang kasya na. Ate Clary fitted her gown after tas pinatingnan niya sakin. All I could say is that she really looks stunning. Di masyadong maraming designs yung gown niya. It's a body fitted long sleeved gown, its back is lacy exposing her skin. She's really naturally beautiful, kahit simpleng face powder lang at lip gloss lang ang make up niya, plus yung kabaitan niya, napaka down to earth. It's probably the reason why Kuya is madly and deeply in love with her.

"Okay lang ba?" tanong niya.

"Okay is an understatement. You look stunning!" I complimented her and she shyly smiled.

"Ikaw talaga." See? Siya pa yung nahihiya, eh siya yung napakaganda.

Natigil kami sa pag-uusap nang pumasok bigla si Kuya.

"Okay na ba kayo?" tanong niya.

"Kuya, get out! Don't you know that the groom is not allowed to see her bride wearing her gown before the wedding? Malas yun!" I blurted.

He chuckled "You're not in the Philippines anymore princess, and besides, I don't believe in those superstition whatevers. I know nothing in this world can stop our wedding. Right, soon to be wife?" He looked at ate Clary with full of admiration.

"Yeah, nothing could, nothing would." She answered.

This relationship of them, it's beyond perfect. It's like a fairytale that came to life.

Wedding day came...

The ceremony went smoothly until it was time to exchange their vows,

"I still can't believe this is actually happening right now, to be honest. It's still like a dream, like the moment you said 'yes' to me when I courted you, when I proposed to you and seeing you in front of me, Clary, makes me want to stay dreaming forever. I promise to love you Clary Genevieve Sandoval soon to be Lopez until my last breath. I promise to make you happy every single day. I promise to be a good husband to you, no, scratch that, I promise to be the perfect husband to you. I know not everyone's perfect but I will make it possible for you, my love. I promise to be at your side for better for worse, for richer for poorer, in sickness and in health as long as we both shall live."

Kuya's almost crying as he said his vows. He sniffed. Ate Clary smiled with a teary eyes.

"I, Clary Genevieve Sandoval soon to be Lopez, promise to love you Sky Gabriel Lopez, my soon to be husband, till the last day of my life. I promise to make you happy and be the good wife you deserve. You deserve the best, love. Like you, I too can't believe I'm actually marrying you right now. It feels like it was just yesterday when I was crushing on you. Sky... You're name really suits you, do you know that love? You were beyond my reach, so near yet so far. Because you are too good for me, too perfect. And I was just nothing. Ending up with you is beyond imaginable. Love, you need not to be perfect, you already are for me. I promise to stay at your side for better for worse, for richer for poorer, in sickness and in health as long as we both shall live."

And with that, the priest announced, "you may now kiss the bride."

We stood up and clapped our hands as we watch them seal their promises with a kiss. I'm glad they finally found the person whom they would love until the forever.
