CHAPTER 30: Into His Side

(Zoe's POV)

Clive says I belong to Tristan – now I'm going to the side where I belong.

I am standing in font of his unit. Nag-aalangan pa akong pindutin ang and doorbell. I'm having second thoughts. I'm having doubts. Pag kinausap ko siya ngayon, ibig sabihin nun patatawarin ko na siya. Should I forgive him? Should I forgive him for leaving and hurting me? Kaya ko na ba?

I sighed. "It's now or never."

I was about to press the button when someone got into my mind. Clive.

Kahit naman anong giit niya na okay lang siya, alam ko namang hindi. He wants me to be happy with Tristan but it's his pain as an exchange. Ayoko naman nun. He's a good friend. I don't want to see him hurting. I don't want to see his faint smiles. I never wanted that.

No, I can't do this. I won't do this. Turn around now Zoe and go inside your house.

I back off.

Just as I turned around, his door opened.

"Ella?"

I froze. How impeccable your timing is.

"Ella, anong ginagawa mo? Bakit ka nasa harap ng unit ko?"

I slowly faced him. "Tristan... k-kase..."

I didn't know what happened.

The next thing I know his lips were on mine. I responded eagerly. Our lips moved against each other that it made me forget the world around us. His hand went around my waist pulling me closer. My hand unconsciously snaked around his neck to his hair, gently tangling into it. He deepened the kiss passionately, exactly how I wanted to kiss him for a year. I missed him so much.

We were breathing heavily as we parted.

He stared at me and I did the same. Even if we're not saying any word, our eyes seem to understand each other.

"Does this means..." he trailed off.

"It's... uuh..."

I wasn't able to finish my sentence because he suddenly pulled me for a rib-breaking hug.

"Have you forgiven me?"

He was drawing small patterns at my back and it's giving me shivers.

Nung mapansin niyang di ako sumagot kumalas siya sa yakap at hinawakan ako sa magkabilang balikat.

"Napatawad mo na ba ako?" he asked, looking directly to my eyes.

"It's not that easy to forgive."

He sighed, "You're going to forgive me, still, right?" he was hugging me again.

"I told you, it's not easy... it takes time..."

"Are you really going to make me beg?" he buried his face on my neck, I felt his lips touched my skin. "Please..." I could feel his warm breath.

"It takes time to forgive but I'll make it quick for you... because I love you."

He slowly faced me. His lips are starting to form a smile.

"I am forgiven?"

I nodded.

"No kidding?"

"Ayaw mo?"

He's having a wide grin as he says, "I love you Gabriella. I love you so much." He hugged me again so tight.

"I know. I love you too."

"I love you more. I love you so much. I've never loved anybody as much as I love you."

He was about to kiss me again but I stopped him by covering his mouth with my palm but it seemed to be a wrong move because as soon as his lips touched it, electric current quickly run through my body.

I gasped. "Wait... I think you forgot we're outside. Do you see that thing in the corner?" I pointed the CCTV "Someone might be watching us."

He bit his lips to hide his little laugh. "We should get inside then."

He immediately pulled me inside his house.

Forgiveness is never easy to give but if you love that person, you would give it in no time. It's a decision, it's a choice.

I feel like a huge thorn was pulled out my heart. I could breathe easily now. It feels home to be in his arms again, I feel safe. I'm happy. I'm ecstatic. Clive's right, this is where I belong, in his side.
