Princess' Sacred Promise

"What do you mean, 'I can't go to back to Hage?'" [Y/n] questioned while looking at Albern in confusion as they walked through the palace garden. She was just rambling about how excited she was to see the everyone at the orphanage back in Hage until her guardian bursted her bubble. The raven-haired man sighed, "I'm sorry, my princess." He said, "With evidence of a Devil presence in the kingdom, leisure in the Forsaken Realm is... not the most secure." The knowledge of the presence of a Devil among them really bothered Albern.

Megicula took his queen and was behind [Y/n] being kidnapped.

But why wait 16 years to kill her? Albern didn't want to wait around to find out. "Besides, your highness, you only have six months to hone your magic further. Would it not be wise to spend all your time training?"

[Y/n] blinked in confusion. "Albern," She said then smiled, "I understand your concern, but I am capable of protecting myself. I will train once I return. Besides," She gave him a dark look, "I'm going whether you approve or not."

Albern sweated a bit. "Still, your highness..."

White and black angel wings appeared on [Y/n]'s back as she smiled innocently him. "I'll see you later, Albern!" She said as she flew into the air.

Albern sighed once again. He should have expected this. [Y/n] wanted to go on a walk dressed in her royal cape, Black Bull cape, and battle armor. Of course, she was going to make a run for it even if Albern said no.

[Y/n] flew into the direction of Hage. Albern's comment made [Y/n] feel a bit... upset. She's worked hard to be able to protect herself and felt that she didn't need to be sheltered like a "normal" princess.

Sure, she was a cursed princess now, and there were so many questions about what will happen to her and her magic thanks to Megicula. However, [Y/n] wanted to enjoy time with her loved ones while she could at least.

Speaking of loved ones, [Y/n] smiled, seeing one of her dearest friends flying in front of her in the same direction as Hage. "Yuno!" She called. The said male looked over and smiled a little, "Are you going home to the village as well?"

Yuno nodded as he held out his hand for [Y/n] as she caught up to him. She grabbed onto his hand. "I've missed you." Yuno said in a gentle tone and placed a kiss on the back of her hand.

[Y/n] turned a bit red, "It has been a few weeks." They haven't seen much of each other since they were possessed by elves.

"Your wing..." Yuno noticed that one of them was black instead of its normal white color. He remembered the transformation she had gone through after being possessed by that devil. It seems the effects still linger.

Yuno noticed [Y/n]'s expression saddened a bit. [Y/n] wasn't sure if the message that she was cursed by a devil had reached his squad, so she was hesitant telling Yuno the truth as to what has been going on. The amount of stress she has put on herself.

"It... hasn't gone back to normal since the battle in Shadow Palace." She muttered, which wasn't a lie.

"You're still my angel either way." Yuno said with Bell huffed, making [Y/n] smile. "Thank you, Yuno." She said. They continued to fly in the direction of their hometown, hand-in-hand.

Suddenly, they flew right past Asta and Noelle. "Yuno! [Y/n]!" Asta called to them. [Y/n] looked over her shoulder as they got further and further away. "I think that was Asta."

Yuno gave a deadpanned look. Of course, Asta was here to ruin his alone time with [Y/n].

[Y/n] could hear yelling from a distance; the sound was getting closer and closer. "Yuno!"
