The Lion Awakens pt.2

[Y/n] stared into the darkness of the open of the dungeon. It didn't take long for the rest of the Crimson Lions to catch up along with the rest of the Black Bulls and Albern.

"Lady Mereoleona, what is that?" One squad member asked.

"You're late!" Their captain yelled, "Did you enjoy your nice little stroll with the Black Bulls, you pathetic fools?! And you call yourselves Crimson Lions Kings?!"

"We're terribly sorry." The vice-captain, Randall, said, lowing his head in shame.

"And... who gave you permission to eat?" Mereoleona continued to yell.

They noticed Charmy eating. "Watch it, Miz Charmy! You gotta read the room!" Asta whispered.

"We've already reported to the royal capital that we found a dungeon. Stand by for further instructions." Fuegoleon announced.

"Yes, sir!"

The Magic Knights from the various squads rested in rest areas while Charmy used her magic to feed everyone. The Black Bulls sat in a circle, talking about their encounter with the giant spider.

[Y/n]'s eyes widened a bit while sitting on one of Charmy's cotton clouds, hearing Luck and Magna mention the spider. "You encountered the spider as well?" She asked.

"Yup." Her superiors nodded.

"Who would have thought it's run away into a dungeon?" Magna questioned.

"Isn't it exciting?" Luck said.

"How?!"

[Y/n] glanced over at Leopold, who sat in another circle with his squad. He seems focused and glaring at the ground. He was beating himself up about letting the spider escape.

[Y/n] thought about going over there to comfort him but shook the thought out of her head, knowing that it wouldn't do any good. She watched as Leopold stood up and walk over to his sister.

"Sister!" He called to her and walked closer, "Let us explore the dungeon!"

Mereoleona punched Leopold in the face. "Don't get cocky!" She yelled, "You're the foolish, inexperienced weakling who let that bug escape! You have some nerve saying that to me!"

"I promise that I will succeed next time!" Leopold said then she smacked him, sending Leopold flying. "There is no next time in battle!" Mereoleona continued to yell, "Go whip yourself back into shape in that dungeon!"

"Yes, ma'am!"

Asta watched with stars in his eyes while Noelle had a deadpanned look, and [Y/n] had a worried one. 'I hope he's okay...'

"Eyes up here!" Fuegoleon called for their attention. He held a communication device that showed Marx on the screen. "Captain Fuegoleon filled me in on the situation. It appears that a rather power magic item lies deep within that dungeon. According to a book that Master Julius found in the library, that magic item was sealed away deep in the Yultim Volcano by those who feared it would be used for evil." Marx explained, "Otherwise, it's shrouded in mystery. Little is known about it."

"Yes, that's right!" They heard another voice, causing [Y/n] and Albern to facepalm.

"Honestly! Could you please be quiet?!"

"Oh, sorry about that. But won't it be exciting to find what the magic item is?"

"Shhh!"

"Let me head over there, too."

"Absolutely not!"

[Y/n] sighed while the two continued to argue. 'He always wants to be where to action is...' She thought to herself.
