“Yes!” Sally exclaimed, jumping into his arms. The group seemed to breathe a collective relief. He kissed her lips a thousand times before taking the delicate ring out of the box and sliding it up her even more delicate fingers. She bit her lip in excitement before wrapping her arms around his neck and kissing him again. She looked down, their foreheads touching as they stared at their feet. “You know, this is the first shot at having an actual family I've ever had.” She confessed.

“And it will be the only family you ever have.” Luke promised, locking his pinky finger with hers. It was the widest smile Paige had ever seen from Sally, and it spread across her face.

“Well.” Luke said, lifting her up like a baby. “We're going for a pre-honeymoon honeymoon in my room.” Luke winked and everybody laughed. “If you know what I mean.”

“I'm glad you're happy.” Paige told her, giving Sally as good a hug as she could give her before she was whisked away.

“Are you sure you don't want to play monopoly with us?” Jai joked, throwing Sally's figure at her as she disappeared down the hallway. She laughed and shook her head.

“Can't say I'd rather!” Sally teased.

'Well, I'm getting a bit tired too..” Beau winked, fake yawning and wrapping his arms over Paige. “Maybe we should, hit the hay?” He offered, winking.

“Your sick.” Skip spat.

“Shut up sl^t.” Beau shouted, only half-teasing. “Your just jealous. Maybe we should get you a girlfriend.”

“What about Hannah?” Paige jumped in, suggesting straight away. She remembered all of those nights ago, the night she had first kissed Beau. Seeing Hannah and Skip together, it made Paige realise that Hannah had not been happy in a long time. She had felt so cold and empty since her only other sibling, her computer hacking genius of a brother had left, leaving her with higher expectations then before. But Skip had seemed to make Hannah happy, even just in the slightest of ways.

“Because I like somebody else.” Skip said flatly, staring directly at Paige, although nobody seemed to notice. Or maybe it was just Paige's imagination that saw Skip staring.

“Who?” Jai asked immediately.

“Someone.” Skip told them.

“He doesn't have to if he doesn't want to.” Paige told them, praying they would give up.

“Tell me!” Beau told him. “Or you have to go home.” Paige pleaded they would give up already.

“Fine, I'll see you all tomorrow. So much for staying safe and staying together.” Skip told

them.

“Skip, I was only joking. You can stay, we just want to know.”

“It doesn't matter any more. I'll see you all tomorrow.” Skip exited the house dramatically, slamming to door behind himself.

“Should I go after him?” Beau asked. “I feel heaps bad.”

“Don't worry bro, he's overreacting. He'll be fine in the morning.” Jai told him.

“F^*k it, who cares anyway?” James asked.

“I do! He's my best mate.” Beau told James. “But yeah, I'll just speak to him in the morning. Or whenever he decides to come over tomorrow.” James coughed awkwardly, before rolling the dice. He moved his piece forward five and soon they were all talking about Luke's wedding.
