"Do you really want to do this?” Paige asked him. She watched as her mother loaded the gun, not a look of remorse on her face. In fact, it looked as if she was enjoying this.

“I wouldn't have said it if I didn't want it.” Beau told her, looking her deeply in the eyes. Paige sighed, still not feeling good about this.

Cameron stood in the back of the room, still shuffling his feet. He knew that if he spoke up he would be killed. He knew that his mother wouldn't think twice about shooting a bullet to his head. This alliance had been going on for years, there was nothing that was going to break it now. Paige's life had been planned out to the minute, and he was so afraid to meddle with that plan.

But at the same time, he couldn't watch his little sister be murdered. And Beau, who despite all of it he had learnt to tolerate and even think of him as a future brother in law. Beau had the courage he didn't have, he had the emotional connection with Paige he had always wished he had with his sister. He didn't know what would be worse, getting shot for speaking up or watching his sister be murdered.

Paige took a deep breath and held onto Beau's hand tighter, squeezing her hands shut as she braced herself for the blow.

“You know Mum, despite all of this I love you.” Paige told her mother slowly.

For a second, a small wave (more like a ripple) of emotion flowed over her, making her feel warm inside. This operation had initially started as a way to keep Paige safe, to make sure she became a good human being. She felt the gun become heavy in her hands. But somehow, her motherly instinct and love did not overcome her pride. And although she could see doubt in every face in the room, she did not want to let her team down. She had never felt this feeling before. She knew what it was, it was love.

“But whether or not you do this, I will never forgive you.” Paige told her mother honestly. Angela felt another ripple wash over her. She had never realised that getting rid of Paige wouldn't just be executing the problems in her life, but it would be executing her own daughter. She had never really thought of it like that before.

She took a deep breath and raised the gun so that it was facing straight at Beau's head.

“You first.” She chocked, a tear rolling slowly down her cheek. She mouthed the words 'I'm sorry' to Paige.

“I love you Paige! Forever and always!” Beau told Paige, loud enough for the room to hear. “And you.” He said, turning to Angela. “I hope you rot in hell!” He heard her pull the cock back, the click that would determine his fate.

“I love you to, baby. I'll be there soon.” Paige told him, gripping onto his hand tighter.

A sound rumbled through the room quickly, and Beau collapsed into Paige's arms. He wasn't sure if he had died or not. He searched his body for any wounds. Maybe Angela missed? Maybe he was a ghost?

He watched as what looked like an army of police officers stormed through the room, arresting everybody in sight. Some fought but the New York Police Department seemed to have brought their entire force into the room. All around them, civilians of the town Paige had once lived in were pulled around, sporting handcuffs. But the police didn't touch them. They just held onto each other, erasing thought of being dead or alive. They didn't care any more. They were together, holding each other like they never thought would be possible again. And that was all that mattered.

Hannah stalked into the room, followed by her brother. They made their way over to Paige and Beau and joined them in their hug.
