She ran faster then she ever thought she could run in her life. She needed to get away. So much for a merry Christmas. The cold air turned her breath into steam in front of her. This town was already proving to be a nightmare. Why Sam had always been so eager to come here, she would never know.

She reached Beau's apartment number and knocked on it frantically, still out of breath. She could hear the music pumping from outside. You could definitely tell it was all guys in there. As soon as they heard the knock, she could hear them stop in their tracks, from loud jumping footsteps, to quiet and silent. Slowly, the music was turned down until it was barely recognisable as a song and more recognisable as whispering.

“Yeah officer, we know. It's down now.” James said, only opening the door a crack.

“James you loser, let me in!” Paige laughed, pushing on the door. But there was a coldness in her voice, from what she had just seen.

“Paige?” Beau asked, running over to the door. Paige smiled and opened her arms, and Beau filled the air in between them.

“You're here!” Beau muttered excitedly into her skin.

“I'm here.” She smiled.

Not for long. She thought but she didn't dare mention it to Beau. She didn't want to worry him any further.

“Come inside, you still don't have your present!” He exclaimed. She shuffled in, taking off her coat and saying hello to all of the boys.

“Merry Christmas.” She smiled, handing him over the box she had gotten him.

“What the hell!? This is crazy!” Beau exclaimed, admiring his new IPhone. He picked her up and spun her around. “I can't accept this.”

“Come on Beau, you smashed yours. You need it!” She laughed. “Plus, James already got $300 off my dad. It's not crazy money for me to spend or anything.”

“Thank you! Thank you, thank you, thank you!” He excliamed, picking her up and spinning her around, pecking her on the lips a hundred times.

“There's stuff on it.” She laughed, when he finally put her down.

“Like what?” He asked, confused. She picked it up, and guided him through the phone.

“There's pictures of us together, a whole album actually.” She laughed. “The albums of all of your favourite bands, all of the apps you had on your old IPhone pretty much, and then other ones I figured you'd want anyway. Especially the paid ones, seeing as you always want them but never want to pay.”

“This is amazing!” he breathed. She doubled-tapped the home screen after the phone was locked, and their song was the last to play. He smiled wider as 'Marry Me' by Train was sitting waiting to play. Their song.

She handed him the phone and began tapping away at her own IPhone. A few seconds later, 'I love you' appeared on his home screen, under the name 'Future Wife'. He laughed, remembering the nicknames they always have each other.

“You're amazing, this is amazing!” He exclaimed. “I feel like a cheapskate now.” He bowed his head down.

“Don't say that!” Paige exclaimed.

“Yeah, not all of us can be millionaires.” Skip said flatly, not even bothering to bite his own tongue.

“Come with me.” Beau said, pulling her hand.
