The day had arrived. The day that she had been waiting for. Even though she had slept that night, it was only because the sound of Sam's voice had been able to keep her from screaming, from freaking out. It was only 7 o'clock, and Beau was still asleep along with the rest of the household. He had been tossing and turning all night, at one point he had even left the bed and not returned for over an hour. He was fretting about this day just as much as Paige was, if not more. To him, today was the day he would be killed. But more importantly to him, today was the day Paige would die as well. And he would rather die than see the girl he loves die.

But he had finally got into a good sleep, so Paige was going to do everything not to wake him. She knew this was going to be a tiring day and he was going to need all of the sleep he could get. Paige on the other hand, could not close her eyes for a single second longer.

Nervously, she answered the phone that was ringing crazily on the bedside table.

“Hello?” She asked throatily, her voice still not fully awake.

“It's Danny. I don't have much time.” The voice said quickly.

“Danny!? What happened!? Why did you turn yourself in!?” She exclaimed, trying to keep her voice hushed.

“I can't explain. I couldn't handle it. Come and see me when you survive.” He said quickly. “I can't talk. But good luck. Say goodbye to Sam for me.”

“Am I going to die?” Paige asked nervously. There was a pause, something that she had not expected for how quickly he was speaking.

“They have planned it for today.” He told her finally.

“Where!? Danny your safe, please tell me who it is!” She asked. “Give me something!” She seemed to order.

“Nobody is safe.” He told her, and then the line cut.

“Hello!? Hello!? Danny!?” She exclaimed, although she knew it was no use. Cursing, she declined the call and threw a pillow angry at the wall, so the sound of a heavier item smashing didn't wake Beau. In his sleep, he reached out to her, and pulled her close to him. She pulled the covers back up to her neck and cuddled into him, closing her eyes as a wave of fatigue hit her. And slowly, she began to drift back to sleep.

She woke up to the smashing of glass and suffocation as she was pushed under the covers, another body shielding her. Glass flew through the air, piercing into the walls and the furniture. She heard Beau grimace in pain, but she was 100% sheltered by his body. She wanted to scream out to his rigid body to make sure he was okay, but her mouth couldn't seem to muster out a sound. When the smashing finished, Beau slowly lifted himself off the top of her, before hugging her tightly.

“Are you okay?” He mumbled. She nodded, crying into him. Her hands explored his naked back, feeling for any cuts.

“What the f**k just happened!?” Luke asked, a worried expression taking over his face as he stood in the doorway. He walked closer towards Beau, looking at his back. It was scratched red, but there were no slits.

“You idiot!” Paige cried, hitting Beau. “You should have just let it hit me!” She was still crying, and Beau held her close to try and calm her down.

“Don't!” She ordered. “It should be me hurt!” She exclaimed, trying to escape his hug, but he only held her tighter.

“That's love, babe.” He told her softly, so that she stopped struggling.

“Paige!?” James exclaimed, running into the room followed sharply by Jai. “What just happened!?” His heart was beating 100 miles an hour. If anything happened to Paige, he was going to kill someone.
