Chapter 13

Spencer's POV:

Toby came back almost instantly. While the doctor was inspecting me Toby said "I'm gonna go find your parents and tell them you're awake." "okay" I said turning away from him and back to the doctor, but then whipped my head back "wait, my parents are here?" "yeah Aria called them and told them what happened," I sigh and he leaves to go find them. I didn't want them here. They don't like Toby and they don't even like me most of the time, Melissa is their golden child, so why are they acting like they care now? Before I can try and analyze anymore, my mother bursts through the door, runs, hugs me, and says "oh thank God Spencer your okay! I was SO worried!" "yeah mom I'm fine and I know you and dad are busy at home so you can leave if you need to, thank you for being here though," I say trying to get them to leave. "I am not leaving until you are out of this hospital, so everyone back home is just going to have to wait," she states. "Well, since I'm awake they shouldn't have to wait too long, right?" I say looking at the doctor. "Spencer, you were stabbed five times and just woke up so I'm pretty sure, even if everything comes back fine, you're probably going to be in here for at least another week... and now I'm gonna get out of your way" he says and walks out of the room. "I'm tired so I'm gonna go to sleep, I'm gonna need it to get out of here" I say trying to get them out of the room. "Oh okay, your dad and I will be right outside if you need anything," she says before hugging me again. Dad came over and kissed my forehead saying "I love you sweetie" then walked out. Toby walked over to me and was about to kiss me and leave when I grabbed his arm and said "will you lay with me I feel safer with you next to me." "Of course I can. Whatever make you feel better" he says with a smile and then lays down next to me. I snuggle into his warm chest and easily fall asleep.
