Spencer's POV:
"Of course. Spencer, I will always be waiting for you no matter what happens." "I know I shouldn't even ask you because I'm basically asking you to put your life on the line for mine." "Which I will gladly do." "But I don't want you to have to do that, Toby. I just knew that I wouldn't come out alive without you and if you love me as much as I love you then if I died then so would you. I thought that if I told you about -A then at least you could protect yourself if you still wanted to be with me and I would understand if you don't. I mean I have a lot of baggage and I know that and you deserve someone who can just love you and it be as simple as that, but that's not me I have-" "Spencer," he says cutting me off, "please stop rambling. I have to say something. I love you and that is not changing. I will find a way to protect both you and me from whoever this person is, okay? And I will never leave you because times get rough. I will always be here for you, right by your side because I'm not just your safe haven... you're mine. I will do whatever it takes to keep you safe." The uncontrollable tears came back the minute he said he still loved me. When he is done with his speech I smile through my tears and lean into him, burrowing my head into is warm chest again. He hugs me and rocks me in his arms until I fall asleep against him. Right before I drift off I say "I love you Toby." "I love you too." He says back and then kisses the top of my head.
