Episode 55

Para siyang teenager na kanina pa nakaharap sa salamin at tinitingnan ang sariling itsura. He has tried so many of his clothes before settling on a simple black polo with sleeves that are tucked up to his elbows.

Ilang beses na rin niyang ginulo at inayos ang buhok. Hindi niya alam pero para siyang kinakabahan na nae-excite.

Today will be their day.

It's just kinda weird because this will not be the first time he will go out with a girl but he feels like it is.

Napangiti nalang siya sa sarili.

He first took a deep breath, smiled, and finally turned around from the mirror. He stormed out of his unit and the building then leaped in his car.

He doesn't normally drive but he feels that he needs his buddy this time, to ensure that he will spend the whole day with her, just the two of them.

He easily reached the building where she does her Internship. They've decided kasi na dito nalang ito sunduin dahil half day lang ang Training nito.

He waited patiently outside his car. Kinakabahan talaga siya but he cant wait to see her.

Employees getting in and out of the building regard him but he seems not to care. Maraming babae ang napapatingin sa kanya pero wala siyang pakialam. He just wants to look good in her eyes, only in her eyes.

After a few more minutes, he finally got a sight of a woman he's so excited to be with.

Parang bumagal ang ikot ng mundo. Everything has been gone except for her who is taking the stairs down. The way she flipped her hair. That corporate attire she's wearing. She looks so perfect...

'perfect for me' He thought to himself.

Agad siyang nagayos ng tayo at huminga muna ng malalim bago magsimulang maglakad.

Just when he was about to take his fifth step, one man leaped out of a car and moved gracefully going to the woman he's been watching. Bigla siyang napatigil at pinagmasdan ang mga susunod na mangyayari.

He just stood there watching them. All of his excitement suddenly popped out like a bubble. His surroundings darkened as pain and reality lanced through him.

Niyakap agad ng lalaki ang babae nang makalapit dito. Isa sa mga bagay na pangarap niyang gawin...

Pangarap na malabong mangyari.

He just heaved a deep sigh then turned on his heel.

Ano pa nga bang magagawa niya, maayos na ulit sila. Again, he's out of the picture. She doesnt need him anymore.

Pumunta nalang siya sa isang bar at doon ibinuhos ang lahat ng sakit na nararamdaman.

'Yung sakit na hindi na niya alam kung paano ba mawawala. He knows he must move on. Ganun naman talaga dapat, but can he do that when half of him wants to continuously love her.

Half of him is still hoping. Hoping that someday somehow magbabago ang ikot ng mundo at siya naman ang gugustuhin nito.

Parang nananadya pa ang kanta sa bar because it perfectly says the words that he really wants to tell to her but doesn't have enough courage to do so.

Suddenly he felt his phone vibrating in his pocket. He fished it out only to see a call from her.

Hindi siya kumibo para sagutin ang tawag. He's on the edge of whether to swipe the green button or not...so he just remained on staring at her photo until the call ended.

Tahimik na tumabi si Riann kay Juvs na nasa labas ng bahay at nakaupo. Ilang minuto na walang imikan nang magsimula na rin siyang magsalita.

"Xander told me everything." pagbasag niya sa katahimikan nila. Pansin niyang napabaling naman ang nga mata ni Juvs sa kanya. Bakas sa mukha nito ang kaba.

"We've been friends for many years, eight to be exact. Simula palang noong First Year High School, tayo na ang magkakasama. We've seen the ups and downs of each other. Kulang nalang nga maging magkakapatid talaga tayo."

Napapatingin si Juvs sa kanya pero hindi pa rin nagsasalita.

"We've been part of each other's happiness and even sadness. We've witnessed every heart ache, tears and broken heart...lalo na kay Bhext." sabay sulyap niya sa kasama na hindi pa rin naman umiimik.

Heaving a deep sigh and turning her eyes straight again, she continued.

"Saksi tayo kung paano siya nagmahal at nagbigo. Nakita natin kung paano siya nasaktan, umiyak pero patuloy pa rin na nagmahal. We've known how that love has changed her. She may become the better version of herself pero hindi pa rin matatago noon ang kalungkutan niya. Ngumingiti siya, tumatawa pero kita mo pa rin ang sakit sa kanya....not until she met him." napapangiti nalang siya as she remembers those days na sinasabi sa kanya nang best friend lahat ng mga pangaasar at pangungulit ni Mike.

"Nang makilala niya si Mike, everything has begun to change. Naging masigla ulit siya though para silang aso't pusa noong una. But we couldnt deny the smile on her face kahit na kinukwento niyang naiinis siya sa lalaki na 'yun. She, talking about a guy, that's news and I'd known immediately that there was something, at nagkaroon nga. I know napansin mo rin iyon." sabay tingin ulit ni Riann kay Juvs na tahimik pa rin. Hindi niya kasi alam kung ano ang dapat sabihin. Riann finally knows. Lahat sila alam na at lahat sila sinasabing mali siya.

"hindi naman mali ang magmahal, huwag ka lang gagawa ng mga maling bagay ng dahil lang dito. You dont need to chase love because if it's meant for you, it will never pass you."

"Besides, we promised to each other di ba? that 'No friendship should be ruined just because of a man. Walang agawan, walang sulutan, walang ahasan. Pwede tayong maghiraman ng gamit pero hindi nang kasintahan." sabay tingin sa kanya ng mariin. She knows the message Riann is trying to entail to her. She also knows what she can for her friends. She is a great friend but a great enemy also. Hindi siya nagsalita at yumuko naman.

Tumayo na naman si Riann at hinawi ang buhok palikod bago ulit bumaling sa kanya.

"Masaya na si Bhext at h'wag na nating sirain pa." seryosong sabi nito at pumasok na sa loob.

She honestly never expected for that kind of conversation. Akala niya sasampalin siya ni Riann at sasabihan ng mga masasakit na salita for making her best friend cry pero hindi ganun ang nangyari. Mas lalo lang tuloy siyang nagi-guilty dahil sa ginawa niya. Tama naman si Riann, among them four si Cassandra halos ang hindi naging masaya sa pagibig. At least sila, they have felt how to be loved by the persons that had loved pero si Cassey hindi. Ngayon niya lang nararamdaman 'yung mga naramdaman na nila noon pa. Kaya siguro nga, she must just give this time to her for she really deserves this. Hindi nalang siya dapat makigulo pa...wala rin naman kasi siyang laban.

Maybe it is not love that she feels now, maybe it is only an admiration - just like what other girls feel for him.
