Episode 59

We woke up earlier than usual. Yes, I spent the night here in our apartment. Baka kasi ito na ang huling beses since we are about to pursue our own paths. I'm sure, things will begin to change or should I say will continue. Hmm...Kalimutan na nga ang nakaraan.

Lumabas na ako ng kwarto namin ni bhext and I saw them already in the dining area.

"Good morning, Cas." Greeted by Xander.

"Morning."

"Good morning, bhext. Coffee?" I shook my head and took my seat.

"We're discussing 'the after graduation thing'. " bhext continued. I raised my eyebrow to show my willingness to listen.

"Well, first is about this apartment. Will we still continue to live here or ano?"

Nagkatinginan naman kaming apat.

"Wait, what's your plans ba after graduation?" Tanong ko.

"I'll take a vacation muna. Uuwi ako sa Pangasinan. A month maybe then 'yun. Job hunting." Sagot ni Xander. I regarded my best friend.

"Umm. Cedrick's parents invited me to come with them to Cebu." Medyo kinikilig niya pang sabi. I pursed my lips into a thin line.

"Uuwi lang ako ng Laguna. Magbabakasyon saglit kila Mama." Sabi naman ni Juvs.

"Eh ikaw bhext?" Napatingin ulit ako sa kanya at sa kanila.

Yes, I have a plan of having a vacation just like what I have said to his family pero hindi ko pa rin talaga naiisip kung saan, at kung ako lang ba magisa.

"Oo nga pala, Goodbye Philippines ka na." Biglang sabi naman ni bhext taking me out from my reverie. I glanced at them.

"Tuloy na tuloy na ba talaga?" Baling naman ni Xander. Hindi ako nagsalita.  I heared bhext hissed.

"Iiwan mo na naman kami. Palagi mo nalang kami iniiwan. Sabagay sanay naman akong maiwan. Hindi na bago 'to." Page-emote naman ulit ni Xander. Natawa nalang ako.

"Padalhan mo nalang kami ng chocolates. Tapos kunin mo na kami. Doon na tayo magtrabaho." She even continued.

"No way!" Kontra naman ng best friend ko na halatang nage-emote din.

"I have not studied here para lang maging alipin sa ibang bansa. "

"Wow. Alipin. Eh di ikaw na makabayan. Iniibig ang sintang pinanggalingan." Pangaasar ni Xander. I just smiled. This is one of the things that I will sure miss.

"Tsaka na nga natin isipin 'yan. For now, we must get ready for the event later." Pagiiba ko sa usapan at lumapit sa best friend ko.

"Let's go, bhext. Later na ang drama." And she just rolled her eye-balls on me but then followed me.

Time passed just like that. It's already 11 in the morning. Two more hours, one of our dreams will finally happen. We are ready.

I took a deep breath first then regarded them. I smiled at the thought that we are finally here. We will finally cross out the first thing on our to-do list.

"Girls, I just want to take this moment first because for sure we will be busy with our own families later,"  I said in cue and handed them each an empty bottle and a letter.

"Fill your bottle with every sand of the places that you will visit and label with the name of the place. Dapat mapuno yan huh? At dapat maraming pangalan ng lugar ang nakasulat. 'Yung letter you can read it mamaya. Because I'm sure, maiiyak kayo sa haba." I smiled at them.  "Congratulations!"
