-Mayah's POV-

When I got home from the zoo, I flopped on my bed and sighed.

I was a little upset over Hayes just leaving the coffee shop, but it made me more... Interested in him.

He left out of nowhere and I want to find out why!

At my old school, every used to call me "Mrs. Holmes" because I loved to show Sherlock so much and I had always tried to solve mysteries at the school. The only problem was that I had to hang up my coat due to the fact there were no mysteries at the school.

But I guess I'd have to dust it off and get back to business.

Ding!

I glanced down at my phone.

Message from: Unknown.

Hey, Mayah! It's Hayes. I'm sorry for running out at the coffee shop. I hope there are no hard feelings. Anyway I was wondering if you wanted to hangout sometime? Where I don't bail on you like that again?

I smiled at the text.

Message to: Hayes

Yea sure! Quick question... How did you get my number??

Message from: Hayes

I got it from Hazel who got it from Rose who got it from Aspyn.

Message to: Hayes

Okay, cool! When are you available?

Message from: Hayes

Now, if that works for you.

Message to: Hayes

Yea sure! Here's my address:

After I texted him my address. I ran upstairs to change into something more presentable.

I changed into high waisted denim shorts and a baseball jersey.

I ran into the bathroom throwing my hair up into a high ponytail, not bothering with my makeup.

I quickly ran downstairs and threw myself onto the couch as casually as possible.

I calmed down a bit and then my heart started racing again. The doorbell just rang. Slightly nervous for some odd reason, I opened the door and Hayes was standing there, grinning ear to ear.

"Hi there," he smirked.

I smiled. "Hi," I stepped aside, to let him in.

"So..." He started.

"Why did you leave the coffee shop?" I blurted out.

He laughed. "Family... Stuff,"

I raised an eyebrow. "You sound unsure about that..."

"Can we just talk about something else?" He asks quickly.

I sigh. "If you won't tell me what's going on, I'll pry it out of you,"

He gave me a puzzled look. "What do you mean...?"

I shrugged, sitting down on my black leather couch.

He cautiously sat beside me and I laughed.

"Hayes, I have a way of finding things out," I say simply.

"Mayah, what do you mean...?"

"Hey, let's go do something!" I suggest.

He laughs. "Okay... Do you play football?"

I shake my head. "No, but I want to,"

"Maybe I could teach you,"

"Okay, just let me changed real quick,"

I jog up to my room, throwing on a sweatshirt and leggings.

I slip my feet into my Converse and jog downstairs.

"Okay, let's go," I say.

"Hold on. Before we start-" he was cut off by someone I didn't expect.

"Mayah? Who's here?" I hear a familiar voice say.

"Dylan?!" I ask in shock.

Then, none other than my older brother, Dylan O'Brien, walks down the hall, a smirk on his face.

I run up to him and hug him really tight.

"Didn't know you were home!" I say, still in shock.

"Well, surprise!" He says, smiling.

He looks past me, his smile slowly fading.

"Who's that?" He asks, looking at Hayes.

"That's Hayes. Hayes, this is my older brother, Dylan," I say.

"Hey, I've seen you before... Off of that one show... Teen Wolf!" He says.

Dylan smiles. "Yup that's me!" I roll my eyes.

"Okay, well we're going outside... How long are you here for?" I ask Dylan.

"Just for the rest of the week then I'm going back to film."

"Okay, well, see ya later, Dyl!"

"Okay, bye! And you!" He points to Hayes, "don't try anything on my baby sister," he says.

Hayes salutes him. "Yessir," he says, before I pull him outside.

I grab the football out of my garage and hand it to Hayes.

"Okay so, first lets start with your throw,"

He put his hand on mine, placing both of our hands on the football.

He then guided my hand to show me how to throw.

I threw it, not knowing what I was doing.

He smiled at me. "You're getting the hang of this," he said.

He was about to show me another move, then stopped.

I looked at him, and he was staring at me.

"What?" I ask him.

"I'm sorry, but, you look so perfect stand there," he says.

I blush, looking down. "Thanks," I squeak out, and he laughs slightly.

"Do you want to forget about football and hangout at the park? Just you and me?" He asks. I nod.

"I'd love to,"
