-Mayah's POV-

previously, on Secret Sisters:

The entire ride, I was anxiously nervous. My leg kept bouncing up and down, waiting for the moment I'd see Calum for the first time in forever.

Once Hazel parked, I immediately rushed into the hospital and down to Calum's room.

I slowed down when I saw the door, taking a deep breath.

This was it. I can't back down now. I just have to talk to him, even if he isn't listening.

I slowly turned the doorknob and pulled the door toward me. I walked into the room cautiously while looking down. I made sure my footsteps were soft, as if it mattered.

I turned around, facing the door, so I still haven't seen him yet. I softly closed the door before taking a deep breath.

You can do this. You shouldn't be dreading this, you should be so happy. You love this boy and you're seeing him for the first time in over 4 months.

"Mayah?" I heard a groggy voice say from behind me.

I quickly spun around, confused. My eyes widened as I take in the situation.

What is going on?

currently, on Secret Sisters:

"Calum?" I asked in disbelief.

He sat up, staring at me. I finally comprehended Calum was awake. And not dead. He was alive.

"Oh my god, Calum!" I ran over to him, not thinking.

I pressed my lips against his, wrapping my arms around his neck.

At first, Calum didn't respond to the kiss, but he quickly moved his lips against mine, creating fireworks to erupt inside me.

I missed kissing his plump lips. I missed hearing his voice. I missed being in the same room as him. I missed him.

I pulled away, out of breath.

"Wow," he breathed.

I smiled, looking down at the ground.

"So does this mean—" I cut him off.

"Calum, you just got out of a coma after 4 months. You were on life support. They were going to kill you. Just shut up and hold me," I tell him, throwing my arms around his neck.

He wrapped his arms around my waist, pulling me closer. I laid my head on his shoulder, feeling safe in his embrace, once again.

"God, I missed you," I breathed.

"I missed you too," he whispered back. He buried his head into my hair, taking a deep breath.

"Mmm, your hair smells good," he said, muffled.

I laughed, pulling away. I smiled at him and he gave me a small smile back.
