Butterfly ride

The last week went by quickly with no problems, the girl at swimming didn't try talking to me agan. Plus I had become closer to Hayley as well and today we were going for some lunch after training. It was a nice little place, tables out the front with sun umbrellas. Walking inside we were seated by the window with two menus placed in front of us.

''So what do you fancy to eat then? They have an amazing salad if you're into eating rabbit food, but I like to have a cheat day and today is my cheat day'' Hayley was grinning with excitement which I found really cute. While we waited for the food we talked about anything and everything, how school was for her and our training.

''Rose can I ask you something? I sore you talking with coach Faith the other day and she had some goofy smile on her face. What were you to talking about?''  I had almost forgot about the conversation I had with her and my training.

'' Oh er it was nothing really she just wants me to train more and start earlier, which is a problem as i don't want to ask mum if she will take me. Especially that early in the morning, she already does way too much for me as it is.''

''Don't you have a car? You wouldn't have to ask her then if you could take yourself all the time.''

It made me think about the conversation I had with mum last week, I was still waiting for an answer as to if I would be getting lessons or not. I hope so, just then I got a text from mum.

Rose I need you home by three pm, as I have a tutor coming round and I want your input please. Mum xx

Another thing I almost forgot about, my new tutor and that mum wanted me there to meet him or her. I told Hayley I needed to cut your lunch short so I could get the bus home, thankfully she was ok with that and we finished eating the rest of our lunch. Five mines hadn't even passed when the coaches from our club came through the door. Strait away I spotted Faith, she had changed her clothes and was now wearing a very short pair of shorts with her coach jumper and a killer pair of books, her long black hair was down and straight. There was only three of the coaches actually sitting down to eat but from what I could make out Faith was ordering to go. Hayley was talking about some party that was coming up but I wasn't really paying too much attention.

Cough cough

''Hey coach I didn't realise you came here, is there anything we can do for you?'' Hayley seem to be able to talk with ease but for some reason I had butterflies in my stomach, just at the thought of talking to her right now.

''Hayley I could see what you were eating from the counter, i'm sure that won't help with your training'' they kept talking but I knew I needed to leave or I would be late.

''I'm so sorry but I need to go now or i'm going to be late for my bus home, i'll talk to you later Hayley. Err bye coach''  I grabbed my bag then walked out the door and towards the bus stop as it wasn't far away, and according to the time table recond I still had five minutes till the bus turned up. I popped my bag on the floor and put my headphones in while looking for some good songs to play on my ipod.

Honk honk

I look up to see a sports car pull up at the curb, unfortunately i'm rubbish at making out the make and model of a car. The tinted passenger window started rolling down, to my surprise it was Faith at the wheel looking at me.

''Rose do you need a lift? It looks like it's going to bucket it down with rain and we can't have you coming down with a cold now''  I wasn't sure about getting in the car as I remember from my old club the rumors going around because one of the swimmers got into the car of a coach, last thing I needed was that at the new club. It did look like it was going to rain and the last thing I wanted was to be late for mum. So I took a chance and chucked my bag on the back seat then sat down and buckled up.

'' Do you mind if I put some music on?''  I didn't know what to say but hoped the music would kill the awkward silence that was in this small space. Faith popped on a CD, surprisingly it was a band I knew and liked. They were called Stone Sour, I had all their albums on my ipad.

''If you don't mind me asking Rose but why are you rushing to get home? You couldn't get out the door quick enough?''

''Oh my mum is trying to find a new tutor for me and she wants me home so I can get changed and meet the person''

''Don't you go to school then like all the rest at the club?'' Why was Faith asking all these questions for, it's strange having someone wanting to know about my life. As I hadn't had that before.

'' err... no i'm homeschooled, mum pulled me out when my old coach recognised I had talent''  things went quiet again until Faith pulled outside my house, how did she know were I lived. Of Course she could've just looked it up on my paperwork.

''Have you thought about what I spoke to you about last week? I think it would help you a lot.''

''Yer I have but I wouldn't be able to get to training in time and I don't want to ask my mum, she does a lot for me as it is''

Just then mum happened to open the front door and see me getting out of the car with Faith, the rain was really coming down hard and I had to make a run for the porch.

''Hi hun, how was training? Oh your Roses coach? Is there a problem at all?''

''No Mrs Carter there isn't a problem at all, I was on my way home and sore Rose at the bus stop and I knew it was going to rain so I offered her a ride home. But since i'm here could I have a word with you about something?''

''Of Course, Rose why don't you go up and sort your bag out and change out of the wet clothes before your tutor gets here''
