Moving forward

Since mum and dad knowing about Faith and me, things had become easier the last few days. I got to spend a lot more time with Faith and not having to sneak out just to see here every few days. Hayley of course was over the moon that my parents knew and was always popping over to help with my wardrobe and clothing bless her. Training had been good aswel, not having to see Jessica was a big bonus and getting extra sessions in when ever I could, meant my fitness was improving all the time. Tutoring was going good aswel, id managed to jump ahead of my schooling a few months and was getting ready to finnish my A Levels by the end of the year. Faith still wasn't happy with the idea of me being alone with Adam as she was convinced he wanted me, no matter how much I told her I wasn't interested.

It was getting ever closer to the Gala and I wanted to be at the top of my game for it, Hayley was also working hard to make sure she would be for the day. After training we headed back to my place for a chill out, I wasn't having a tutor session today thankfully as I was already tired. Hayleys phone was constantly going off since we left the pool, half the time we were talking she wasn't really listening so I decided to bring it up.

''Spill then, who is the mystery man then? Since you can't take yourself away from your phone'' straight away I could see her face becoming red and a smile on her face get bigger. She was bursting at the seems to say something and couldn't hold it any longer.

'' well you know we bumped into Leo at the shopping center right, well weave been chatting a lot more and i gave him my number as he reconed he lost it a while ago. He's not stopped texting me since. I think he still likes me but until the gala is over he's training non stop, i'm trying to not get my hopes up but I think we could end up back together.'' I could see in her eyes that she was hoping so much for this to happen, fingers crossed she doesn't get her heart broken by this boy as she is so nice and deserves the best.

We kept chatting for a bit longer and were talking about having another shopping day when the doorbell went. Dad answered and was talking to someone but I couldn't hear, Hayley was showing me clothes on her phone that she wanted me to try and what she thought would look good on me and I just laughed at her attempt to turn me more girly. I heard footsteps behind me but took no notice until Faith lent over and gave me a kiss on the cheek. I turned to look at the amazing women who came to see me and moved over so she could come and sit with me. Hayley had a grin so big on her face that it could of given the cheshire cat a run for its money, this was the first time she had seen us together outside of training.

''Well I have to say that you two look so good together, it's nice to see and weird but only a good type of weird''

''Thanks Hayley, nice to know we're weird to you'' with that said we just started laughing, Faith wasn't really laughing as I think she still found it a bit weird that Hayley knew. With time it would change and it will become normal.

'' How often do you get to spend together now then, not having to sneak around from now on?''

''We get to spend nearly every day together now, which of course I love. Thinking about it it's always here aswel, i've still only been to your place once Faith. How comes?'' it's true though, Faith is here almost every night for dinner and some night she will stay the night aswel but i've not been back to her's since for some reason and I want to know why.

''It's not the time or place to be speaking about it Rose, i'd thought you would be happy that we get to spend more time together. It doesn't matter where that is'' I could feel the mood of the conversation change so I left it at that and luckily mum came in with a plate in hand and dad followed with the serviette and a bottle of coke. Mum must of thought that it would be nice for us all to sit in the living room and eat tonight (it was pizza night)

After dinner I took the finished plate and glasses out to the kitching, Faith followed with the rest of the glasses and placed them on the side then came to hug me from behind.

''Rose have you lost weight? I can almost wrap my arms around you and back to me. Your hips are showing big time, are you ok?'' I was fine so I just ignored what she said and went back to the other room. Mum was talking about the party we are having after the gala and dad was looking at something on his laptop. Faith wouldn't let it drop and started again when I had sat down next to Hayley.

''Rose this is serious, have you been eating properly? As your coach I need to know. It could affect your ability at the gala...''

''What is the matter here, Rose? What is she talking about'' I just look at them both with a blank look on my face not sure what to say, i've been eating properly and done nothing that would make me lose weight.

''I've just noticed that Rose has lost to much weight and to quickly, her hips are on show and her joggers are too big for her now. I've only asked if she has been trying to lose weight or not. Or your training to much and not eating enough Rose, we need to find out and soon or it will affect everything you have been working for.'' Great now I had everyone looking at me, I just wanted the ground to swallow me whole. Ok I had noticed that some of my clothes were a little baggy but nothing to worry about.

''Rose stand up and pull your top up enough to see your tummy'' Dad was stern with his request and I obeyed. One thing my dad couldn't abide was the idea of me becoming anorexic. His youngest sister died of it at a young age and he's never got over it really. I pulled my top up for him to see, straight away he wasn't happy and stormed out the room. Mum came closer and had a closer look at me, I turned to look at Hayley for support but even she looked concerned. Dad came back in the room then.

''You have an appointment with the Doctor first thing in the morning, I will be taking you myself. End of discussion! Hayley it's getting late I think you should be getting home. Do you need a lift at all? Faith could you take Hayley home please, we need to talk to Rose alone. You can come back and stay if you want'' with that we all knew what he meant. Faith took Hayley home for me, I said our goodbyes and promised to text her later. Dad sat me down next to mum and they started talk to me, all I could do was try and ashore them that I wasn't making myself sick or trying to lose any weight. Not that it made much difference, even once Faith returned and we made our way to bed she brought it up.

''Faith I promise I have not been trying to lose weight at all, and no i've not done it to make you like me more. I've been eating as normal and training. I've even had a cheat day here and there as well, I hadn't noticed my body change at all. Yer a few of my joggers feel a little on the big side but I put that down to how long i've had them. Can we please drop this now and just go to sleep.'' Faith couldn't say no to me and I had worked that out from the beginning, we crawled into bed and she pulled me tight for a hug and stroked my hair until I fell asleep.
