21. Janitor Closets

Mickey's P.O.V

Things around here are starting to change- I don't know if that's bad or good. Harry is actually being less angry about Rider but he's working on it. Luke has been shockingly nice to Kaleb with the occasionally death stare. Jane has backed off from Harry but once in a while I catch Nadine eyeing him. And then there's Savanna. That Fricking Bitch! Ever since Luke and her became friends she thinks it's okay to hug him and text him and talk to him 24/7! But it's okay because I trust Luke and no annoying Brunette will get int the way of that. Today we were getting our assignment in AAAP, hopefully I'll get another performance and so will C. Because I absolutely love performing.
We were in Dance class when a fully healed Rider approached us engulfing our small bodies in a big hug.
"Ladies"
"Rider" we both said.
"Ew Ride, why are you talking to them"
"Because they're my friends Kate" she rolled her eyes at us as her and Savanna took a step back, me tripping her on they're way.
"Whoops, my bad" I'm proud of myself.
"So rider, who do you think will get the next assignment?"
"Hopefully not me again, that was nerve racking! I barely made it without passing out last week!"
"So everyone, I have decided that for next weeks performance night of AAAP we will be doing a group number. It has a duet focus but it is a group dance"
"Wonder who the duets for.." I sarcastically mumble to Caitlyn and Rider.
"The song will be Lay me down by Sam Smith and our duets will be Caitlyn and Rider- to no surprise of course" I heard a silent 'yuck' utter Kate's mouth.
Rider and Cay silently complained  to themselves as we all left the studio. I quickly started towards the chat room to work on my report when I felt a hand pull me into the janitors closet.
"Sorry to scare you love"
"Kaleb! Sure go ahead give me a heart attack. What is it with you and janitor closets" he chuckle to himself.
"Sorry Michelle but I just needed to ask you something and I didn't necessarily feel safe out in the open with your Lucas roaming around" this actually made me laugh a bit.
"What's on your mind?"
"Um- so I didn't want to tell you this because I care about you and I don't like being the one telling you this one of your closer friends should but I don't think the know and-"
"Kaleb, darling, speak slowly!" He blushed.
"Okay..there are rumors going around that Savanna and Luke hooked up"
"There not true"
"Why do you seem so calm?"
"Because she started that rumor the second they met...but it's sweet to see how concerned you were for that. It's good to know I can count in you."
"Anytime Love- and if I'm honest I don't like that Savanna either"
"Good" we said walking out, thankfully Luke already going inside the auditorium not seeing us. I went in and sat next to him.
"Hi Lucas"
"Mitchie, I haven't seem you all day"
He says intertwining our hands.
"I know-I miss you. I'm so glad that after next week we have an entire month off! We have some serious time to catch up on." He smiled, surprisingly I haven't seen Luke smile in some time. I haven't been around him enlighten to see him. Savanna walked through the door instantly locking eyes with Luke as thy slowly wen down his body and back up to his eyes. Luke sent a friendly wave to her as she smiled strutting towards her seat behind Kaleb. Soon enough H arrived along with Ms. Dana.
"Hello everyone, as you know performance closure week is next week and I do t assign group projects until second semester, which I always fun because bands form and groups merge and- it's a fun time. But for now we have one more Duet to assign." Luke and I give each other a look.
"In the Obvious character, I have assigned the duet to Michelle! Ms. Irwin you will be singing along with-"
"Mr. Hemmings?" I  interrupted.
"Actually, I have assigned you with Kaleb- if he accepts." I felt Luke tense up beside me as he stared him down.
"Of course! That wouldn't be a problem" he smiled at me as I smiled back, still holding Luke's hand.
"Okay can this not be a thing? Why can't I just sing?" Luke mumbles angrily under his breath.
"It's okay L, I had to deal with it too" Harry teased him. I was excited! I actually really looked forward to singing with Kaleb, I mean it wouldn't compare to Luke and I but it would be very nice- well for me at least, Luke..Erm not so much.
"You will be performing 'Kiss me' by Ed Sheeran. Good luck to you both" she said dismissing the class. Instantly Luke stormed out if the room not even giving me a chance to go after him, luckily I know Harry and Caitlyn will catch up with him. A very smiling Kaleb was jogging towards me as he engulfed me in a giant hug.
"Michelle!!! I got a singing part!!"
"I know! I'm really excited"
"So am I..I get to sing with such a beautiful girl" he says taking my hand.
"Hehe, Kaleb..you know were still just friends, right?"
"I know Love, don't worry. I'm just- sometimes I catch my self getting worse and worse at resisting you." He says sliding his hand up to my shoulders.
"Kaleb!"
"Sorry Love, I'm just such rubbish at hiding my feelings" he chuckles, letting go off my shoulders that felt surprisingly cold afterwards.
"Well I guess I'll see you tomorrow at rehearsal?"
"I can't wait- see you then love" with that he did his wink as he walked away.
Lord..what am I to do with him?
I walk out to the chat room as I Luke and Savanna on the couch chatting.
"Well don't you two look comfy"
"Mickey..nice to see you?"
"Sorry M, just needed some to talk to"
"About?" He hesitated as I slowly got up.
"N-nothing just forget it. I'll talk to you later S?" He didn't just..wtf?
"Bye" she flirtatiously giggled.
As we walked back for the dorm he seemed very quiet.
"Luke what's going in with you- your hanging out a lot with her lately"
"Look Mickey she's just a girl, don't worry about it"
"I am gonna worry about it! She's just a girl who so happened to undress you with her eyes every time your in the same room!" He suddenly came to a stop turning me to face him and interlocking our hands.
"Mitchie- I love you. Not her" he said placing a kiss in my cheek.
"And I just need to hear that you love me too sometimes.." I placed a hand on his cheek and placed a quick kiss in his lips.
"I love you....ONLY you!" He smiled.
"Much better" he said as I raised me up into a piggy back ride. Having new people in our lives were bringing change I'm not sure I liked-but nothing will ever come between us.
I know that for a fact.
