22. Out of control

Mickey's P.O.V

Today was Kaleb and I's first rehearsal and I was terrified- he's been getting seriously under my skin lately and I hope today all those weird feeling will go away because I can tell it's driving a wedge between me and Luke-we've been really fidgety lately and Luke was acting so weird yesterday. I mean like, what was he telling Savanna that he wouldn't tell me you know! I just hope this all blows over by next week. I arrive to the auditorium and am met by Kaleb, Ms. Dana and- Luke?
"Ah! Ms. Irwin your here!"
"Yes uh- what's going on why are you here Luke?"
"Aren't you happy to see me?"
"Always just, I didn't expect to see you"
He chuckled to himself.
"Hello Michelle, are you excited love?"
Luke gave him a look as Kaleb stepped back.
"Hi Kaleb, I'm really looking forward to  singing together" Luke scoffed.
"Michelle, Luke here had a wonderful idea and I wanted to let you know before I left you that Luke is going to be Kalebs vocal coach for this week!"
"What..?"
"Mr. Hemmings has a strong voice and it would be very good for Kaleb!"
"Luke's Idea...Really?"
I scolded him as he smirked.
"With that said I'll leave the three of you to your first rehearsal! Good Luck!" As in watched the door slowly close I let my anger burst out.
"What the Hell Luke!"
"What! Did I do something!"
"Kaleb..would you excuse us for a sec"
"Sure thing Love, I'll be backstage." As we saw him fade into the curtains Luke seemed scared of how I was reacting.
"Luke- What in the actual fuck is your problem!"
"Okay, you always say that you want me to be nice to him and that's what I'm doing! You should be happy!"
"No actually I'm not! Your just here to spy on us!" He pretended to be hurt.
"Mickey! Of course not..that's just a plus to it all"
"Whatever" I pushed past him signaling for Kaleb to play the track.
As the song started I joined him on stage as Luke sat in the front row.
EVERYTIME he would sing, Luke would cut him off correcting him in something stupid even though he was doing great. He would start again-
"All wrong! All wrong! You two are standing way too close, it blocks out the harmony with the acoustics of the room!" I give him the 'I swear to God Luke I'm going to kill you' look causing him to sit and finally let us get through the whole song which btw was amazing! I loved singing with Kaleb! It wasn't as good and Luke and I but it was really really good.
"That's all for today, I'll see you tomorrow Love" Kaleb engulfs me in a hug as he whispers in my ear.
"I'm glad he came, how else would I have held myself back" he have me the wink as he left through the back. When he was finally gone- I exploded.
"LUKE ROBERT HEMMINGS!"
"IM SORRY OKAY! I panicked! You gotta believe me Mitchie I didn't wanna piss you off it's just...Ugh!"
"Ugh what Luke! You've been dodging me all week hanging out with Savanna and you don't see me finding excuses to basically Spy on you two! Because Guess what Luke I actually trust you! Do you not trust me!" He walked closer to me grabbing my hands, I tried rejecting him but that just made him pull me closed, cupping my face with his hands.
"It's not that I don't trust you, because I do. I trust you with my life...but I don't trust him Mickey, and you can't blame me for that" he had a point but that was no reason for his actions.
"Tell you what- I'll tell Ms. Dana that he doesn't need a Coach and I'll let you guys do your thing..but he even tries to do anything I swear M-"
"You don't have to worry Lucas, I can protect myself" he smiled.
"Lucas..there it is"
"What?" He picks me up as I wrap my legs around him. I hate how I can never stay mad at him..ugh!
"You've been calling me Luke all day"
"It's your name isn't it?"
"Yeah- but with you it sounds special"
We walked out of the auditorium to meet Caitlyn and Harry.
"How'd it go!?"
"Don't ask" we both said. Harry rolled his eyes as he grabbed Caitlyn's hand.
"What about you? How's Rider?"
"Oh God...I have so much to tell you" she whispers to me.

We were back at the dorm as Caitlyn and I were in her room, sitting on the bed cross-legged.
"Anyways! So we were practicing the duet part, dancing, Yada Yada Yada- when me leg slips and I do a semi back flip, so he catches me and were kinda just staring at each other for like 5 minutes until he finally helps me up and it was a little awkward until we took a break and talked and then Ugh! Is it bad that he just looked extremely hot today!"
"It's terrible" she sighed out.
"Tell me your day was better.."
"My day was better"
"Are you lying?"
"Oh yeah" we laughed.
"I don't know what to do..I mean Kaleb is starting to get really antsy and also very attractive and that's a bad combination"
"What's wrong with us?"
"We need boyfriend time that's what!"
"This will all blow over during break"
"Totally!"
"I mean they're just guys who are our friends who happen to like us"
"Right!"
"And everything is gonna be fine! Were Mucas and Carry! Going strong!"
"Forever"
"Exactly"
Let's just hope these guys don't get out of our control...
