Lexi's POV:

"We have a really big day today." I said glancing up at the ceiling, It remained blank with a small spider tucked at the corner of the room.

Zayn grunted shifting in bed so that the whole bed shook including me. "I know." he sighed then threw his weight over me. "but I'm sure two minutes wouldn't hurt." he said planting a kiss on my collarbone ending the short conversation.

Two minutes into kissing and canoodling there was a loud knock on our bedroom door then in a flash the door kicked open and banged against the wall catching both me and Zayn off guard. Zayn head snapped in the direction and I leaned on my elbows to look.

Perrie stood in the doorway- frying pan in one hand and spatula in the other- flour coated her apron and her hair was neatly tied back in a bun. "oh!...sorry! I thought you two were awake, awake." she said trying to brush off the awkward feeling from her apron. I could imagine the site- me and zayn seemed to be, laying in a messy bed with his weight on top of mine and both our eyes trained on her. To lighten the mood she added. "I made pancakes."

"You cooked?" I said in astonishment. Never in a million years did I think Perrie was the "cooking" type of gal.

"Yeah....well I attempted to..." I didn't even want to think about how the kitchen looked right now. "....In the end I just ended up buying it." she turned on her heel in an attempt to leave the room and the awkward conversation. "So enjoy, It'll be downstairs."

"Okay..." I mumbled not really knowing what to do. It seemed incredibly weird that she would make us breakfast. Of course the evil side of me jumped to the accusations that in the end I was starting to think she had poisoned our food- just cause her nature was to be a pain in the ass.

I pushed the thought away while Zayn spoke up "Oh and Perrie." he said glancing over his shoulder.

"Yeah" she said as if she was a little afraid of him. It made me think about how Luke had dumped her- maybe she was starting to hate and fear men.

"Remember to knock and wait next time." he said turning back to me.

When she had left Zayn had jumped straight into the shower. I had sat in bed trying to collet my thoughts. Sure I felt sorry for Perrie but I also didn't trust the girl. Lets remember that she is the one who tried to flirt up my man. And even it was in the past I still cant let her get away with it.

I wanted to know exactly why she was here, I truthfully didn't know if I should buy the whole "Im a pregnant dumped girl and I have no where to go" excuse.

The phone rang on the bedside table. Zayns phone.

I picked it up and held it to my ear while I got out of bed. I guess I should have checked who was calling because Zayns mother was on the other end of the line.

I recognised her voice immediately and I stood in alert. However this time her voice was slightly on edge and she sounded like she was crying. She sucked in a deep breath before she spoke. "Is my son there?" she briefly asked.

"he's in the shower....I can pass on the message." I could hear wailing and just a lot of noises in the background that it was hard to hear. "is everything okay?"

I heard a pause on the other side as if she contemplated whether she should tell me or not "Zayns grandfather died." she said and I gasped, blinking. I didn't expect to hear this.

My thoughts flashed back to the wedding where I had met his grandfather for the first time. He was humours man, with a scruffy beard and a hearty laugh which eventually turned into a coughing fit. His legs were worn out and now incapable to be used so he would roam around in a self-push wheelchair.
