Flashback ~ December 30, 2010
My parents used to know me as Annabella, their little straight-A student who had only one friend, but was always making good choices and was wholeheartedly good. Why did I have to go and mess that up?
I'm still that person, deep down I'm still the nerd who studies for tests two weeks before and reads way too much. I'm still the girl who loves her little brother more than anyone and wouldn't dare not saying "thank you" to someone who holds the elevator door for her.
Suddenly, though, nobody thinks of me as her anymore. I can even see it in my parent's eyes, not the pity, but the disappointment. I'm no longer that innocent little girl to them. No matter how much they love me, stand by me, no matter how many times they say I will always be their little girl, I can see it.
They don't know meanymore. I may be their little girl, but first, I'm a criminal.
