Someone Like You: Vegas Lights

I'm not sure what I was expecting when I came to a celebrity birthday party, but it certainly wasn't this. The club we were at was filled to the brim with people, which didn't seem to be Luke's speed at all, but I was trying to make the most of it. A stylist had come to my hotel room when Luke and I got back earlier, dressing me in a black lace minidress and a leather jacket. So now, here I was, sitting at the VIP table with no clue what to do with myself. Luke had been dragged around to different places all night, meaning I didn't get to see him much. I was about to take a sip of the drink that Kat brought over for me when I felt a hand on my shoulder.

"Hey," Calum stood next to me smiling.

"Hey," I looked back at him and smiled, glad not to be alone at the couples table with Michael, Ashton, and their girlfriends anymore. Calum's eyes flicked to his friends and then back to me.

"Luke asked me to come get you." Calum informed me, making my shoulders drop a little in disappointment. For a moment, I thought that Calum was coming over to hang out with me, but I smiled anyway and followed him to the dance floor.

"Where is he exactly?" I look around the crowded dance floor, but can't see the dark blonde mess of hair that I was searching for.

"No idea, but I had to think of an excuse to get you alone." Calum smirks and places a hand on my waist, and I shoot him a curious look.

"What if people see us?" I look around skeptically, but no one else seems to even notice us.

"There's no paparazzi in here, and it's too dark for anyone to see us anyways." Calum looks out to the dark dance floor, which proves his words to be true. It's difficult to see anything in there, and the idea of getting to spend time with Calum without having to pretend to be Luke's girlfriend is too good to pass up. I give his arm a light squeeze and follow him into the crowd.

It's nice to be able to get lost in the sea of people and not have to worry about people watching us. Luke and I had eyes on us everywhere that we went earlier, and I'm glad to finally enjoy the privacy of the apathetic crowd. No one in here can tell that I'm Luke's girlfriend in the dim light, and I'm not sure any of them would care. Calum's hands slip around my waist and down so that they're resting on the front of my hip bones, pulling me into him from behind. The colored strobe lights and thump of music serve as a guide for how to move my hips as I lean into Calum, allowing him to take the lead and sway my hips in whichever direction he pleases.

Once Calum finds a rhythm with the music, he leans forward so that his lips are just next to my cheek and places a soft kiss there that sends sparks shooting through my body. I'd had very little to drink at the party, but Calum's touch alone leaves me intoxicated in his presence. I hum in pleasure as he trails his lips down underneath my jaw and begins to place teasing kisses there. I'm slowly unraveling in his arms and can do nothing to stop it, nor do I want to.

I turn my head to kiss him and as soon as I do, Calum takes the cue to bring his lips to mine. Each kiss is more exhilarating than the last with Calum, and I'm thankful for the obnoxious bass that is ringing throughout the club because it covers the moans I'm making into Calum's mouth as we kiss. Our dancing has completely ceased and the music around us is barely registering in my brain as we stand there, frozen in our moment in time.

Calum pulls away suddenly, I whine at the loss of his lips on mine, but his smile reassures me that he is far from done with me. He silently nods towards the back of the room as I feel him release his grip on my waist. I follow him out of the crowd and to the back of the club. The walls are lined with black curtains and without a word, Calum disappears behind them, leaving me to follow him inside. There isn't even two feet of space between the wall and the black curtain, leaving little room for Calum and me inside.
