Well, that's certainly an interesting message to wake up to.

I read the text once more before noticing that Calum had changed his contact name in my phone to 'Batman'. How I hadn't noticed that until now was beyond me.

I sat up in my bed and looked at the time before realizing it was almost ten o'clock. Jo and Jaclyn had planned to leave for the airport at nine this morning, meaning that I didn't get a chance to see them off before they left to go home to Alabama for the week. I sighed in defeat and climbed out of bed, still clutching my phone in my hand.

I read over Calum's message a couple more times on my way to the kitchen before I noticed a cardboard box resting on the counter. There was no address on it, the only marking on it being my name written in crooked sharpie. The twins must've brought it in for me when they saw it outside.

Inside was a black spandex bodysuit with a hood and the matching mask. I lifted it out of the box and examined my new outfit for the night. Whatever Calum was up to, I knew I was in for something interesting.

With my 'super-suit' in hand, I walked back to my room and decided on what to do with my time before tonight. I still needed to film my July favorites video, and I was in need of some groceries to live off of for the week. With my mental to-do list mapped out, I changed into some running clothes, figuring I would go to Whole Foods and make up for missing my morning run when I got back. Then I should have enough time to film and get ready before I had to be downstairs at 7.

7:00pm

If there was one thing that I had learned from 'dating' Luke Hemmings, it was the ability to not care that people were staring at me. I was sitting on the bench outside of my apartment complex, still trying to figure out what on earth Calum was up to. All the while, everyone who came and went from the apartment looked at me suspiciously, while I did my best to act like it was completely normal to be dressed as Catwoman three months before Halloween.

Before I could question the situation any further, a black mustang with tinted windows pulled up next to the curb in front of me. The engine of the car shut off, followed by the driver door swinging open to reveal Calum in a full-on Batman suit, complete with the cape and utility belt. I stood from the bench and stifled a giggle as he walked up to me.

"Calum, what are we doing?" I ask him once he reaches me at the curb. He lifts his index finger to silence me and leans in close, removing his hand and replacing it with his lips. He pulls away after a moment and gives me an intense stare.

"I'm Batman," he replies with his best Christian Bale impression. I do my best not to laugh again, but this whole thing is so ridiculous, and I just can't help myself.

"Okay, Batman, what is going on?" I ask him again, this time managing to sound a little more serious.

"Calum and Elle might not be able to go out on a date, but Batman and Catwoman certainly can," he answers matter-of-factly, his voice returning to normal. He takes my hand in his and leads me back to the car, opening the passenger door for me. "Now, be a good kitty and get in the Batmobile."
