Someone Like You: All on Me

"Elle, we have to be at the airport in an hour," Luke whines beside me. "I'm sure they have stores in Fiji."

"But do they have a Sephora?" I ask doubtfully, but Luke stares back at me blankly.

"What the hell is that?" He asks as we approach the black and white striped store. His eyes grow wide as I drag him inside, and he suddenly looks like a child lost at the grocery store. "Dear God, am I going to lose you in here?"

"No silly, I just need a few things for the trip." I assure him as I drag him to the Anastasia display. "Don't worry, this won't take long."

"Ashton, you've got to help me." Luke pleads into his phone as I search the shelves for the colors I want. "Elle dragged me into her lair."

"It's not a lair," I fake-glare at him and but Luke just silences me by covering my face with his hand.

"We're heading there soon," he tells Ashton before hanging up. "Everyone is at the airport except Michael."

"Who is 'everyone' exactly?" I ask, hoping to brace myself for the large crowd.

"You, me, Michael, Ashton, Calum, Jo, Jaclyn, Brian, Derek, Mitchy, Clarke and a couple other people." Luke rattles off a list of names, but there's a few people I know that I've never met before. Hopefully everyone will be cool.

"Okay," I nod and pull the colors that I'm looking for off of the shelf. "I'm good to check out."

"After you," Luke gestures for me to lead him through the store, so I take his outstretched hand and pull him through the villas until we've reached the register. The girl behind the counter giggles when she sees Luke standing awkwardly behind me, but she says nothing to him.

"This is his favorite store in the mall," I tell her, and she laughs.

"Oh I can tell, he fits in so well," she notes, and he blushes. "You want a bottle of water or something, hun?"

"Thank you, I'm good," he says quietly.

"Talkative one you got here," the girl jokes, and Luke smirks.

"I can barely get a word out with this girl." He drapes his arm over my shoulders and offers her his credit card before I have a chance to pull mine out, and I scowl at him when I realize what he's doing.

"Luke!" I huff at him. "I can pay for my own makeup."

"I never get to pay for you," he argues. "Let me buy you some lipstick, so long as I'm the one who messes it up tonight."

"Oh my god, I'm so sorry about him," I groan in embarrassment. "He's usually much better behaved."

"Girl, don't worry about it." She dismisses Luke's obscenity with a bat of her hand. "We get boyfriends in here all the time, and you wouldn't believe the things that come out of their mouths."

"Oh I can believe it. You should see his friends." I roll my eyes at Luke, who's still amused with his lipstick comment, and he kisses me on the forehead to lessen my annoyance.

"You two have a great day." The girl hands me the little black striped bag and fights a giggle of her own as Luke and I leave the store.

"I cannot believe you said that in front of someone." I look up at Luke as we walk toward his car, and he smiles down at me innocently.

"I've said worse." He winks and lowers his voice. "Besides, I think you like dirty talk."

"Luke Robert Hemmings!" I honestly don't even know how to respond to that.
