"I don't want to talk about it, Mom.", I said softly because my voice wasn't strong enough.
"I just want you to know that we are blessed that you can come home today.", she put an arm around me.
"Yeah.", I nodded. "Me, too."
"But please promise me that you won't do that again.", she begged.
"I can't promise, Mom. You know that. I had to help Lauren, right?"
"Well that's true, but you should have come to us.", she smiled slightly. "Then it might haven't escalated."
"It isn't escalated.", I shook my head slowly to prevent pain. "I just bounced awkwardly against a bank near my position."
"Yes and you had to stay in a hospital for three days.", she sighed. "That could have end-"
"But it isn't.", I remembered her. "I can walk, talk, sit, eat and so on. It's just an spinal contusion and some bruises."
"Just ?", she repeated unbelieving. "Lisa! I don't understand why-"
"Mom, please. I'm tired.", I begged for silence.
As we arrived home, I was eagerly awaited, so I stayed for a while in the living room, before I left and went upstairs for some calm sleep.
Harry P.O.V.
He still had the pictures in his head. As Riley had thrown her with ease through the air and how rudely she bumped into the bank. They had stopped him and he fled while Lauren shouted repeatedly after Lisa.
Bonnie and Elena had been with her. Caroline called an ambulance and a strange man perched already at Lisa.
"This is all my fault.", Lauren sobbed and stroked Lisa's hair back.
Harry watched down at her. She looked unnaturally pale, her breathing was shallow and she didn't move.
He had as he was at home late in the evening immediately informed his boys. They were also concerned, but he was sure that they could sleep. He laid awake all night and couldn't find peace. Early in the morning, he had made the trip and visited her.
He could still remember how beautiful she still looked. But she was asleep and didn't notice his presence. He sat a long time beside her, held her hand and stroked gently with the thumb over her tender skin.
"Are you sure that you don't want to tell her the truth?", Louis asked as he spoke in the late evening with them via Skype.
"We are both so close now. I don't want to imagine what it would be if I would tell her who I really am.", he shook his head. "Here I can be normal without having paparazzi constantly in my back."
"If you think so.", nodded Niall. "But gaps are never good, Harry."
"I know.", he rubbed his head. "She has enough problems. I want her to know that I stand behind her and now when I get with the truth, she thinks afterwards she can't trust me."
"I do not think she would believe that.", Liam mused. "The way you describe her, she sounds very understanding."
"And what she has received for her sister, is really incredible.", Zayn added.
"Yeah right. Maybe I should tell her.", Harry nodded. "Once she gets better."
Elena P.O.V.
"News from Klaus?", she asked as she entered the Salvatore mansion.
"No.", Damon said; Stefan's older brother. "Why? Suddenly so eager to get messages from Klaus?"
"No, Damon.", I replied. "It's not about me if you've already noticed that."
"Sure I have.", he winked. "When do I meet them?"
"Soon.", Stefan went over to Elena and kissed her in greeting. "Did you already asked Caroline?"
"They are on their way.", Elena nodded smiling.
"Then make yourself comfortable.", he nodded over to the chairs and sofas.
"Would you like a drink, Elena?", Damon grinned arrogantly.
"I'd love to.", she raised an eyebrow. "Something non-alcoholic."
It wasn't long until the bell rang and Damon went to the door.
"Someone new is on behind the door – Someone I don't know yet.", he explained, and finally opened: "Hi."
"Damon.", Elena grinned at Bonnie's voice. "Is Elena already there?"
"Of course. Come in.", he stepped aside. "I'm Damon."
"Harry."
"Ah Harry. Lisa's boyfriend right?", Damon pondered as he closed the door.
"Just – friend.", Bonnie replied. "Where is Caroline?"
"On her way."
"Hi Harry.", Elena hugged him. "You don't look well, is everything alright?"
"Yes.", he nodded. "Just worried. I haven't heard from her since yesterday."
"Don't be worry. She is weakened and has slept well maybe.", she smiled at him. "She will arrive in no time."
"Do you want a drink?", Damon raised an eyebrow.
"Water – please.", Harry nodded sitting down next to Elena.
Bonnie and Harry talked a while, but Elena stood up and walked through the rooms straight to Stefan who was studying an old book.
"What are you doing?", she hugged him from behind.
"Reading.", he smiled, soon turning around and laid his arms around her. "And you?"
"I was thinking.", she started lightly. "I wonder what Klaus wants."
"We all do.", he pressed his lips together.
"They're here.", Damon shouted out before they heard the bell rang.
"How do you know that?", Harry asked as Elena and Stefan entered the large room.
Elena threw Damon an indefinable look as Bonnie opened the door.
"Intuition.", Damon replied grinning.
"Hey.", Elena went up the stairs greeting Caroline and Lisa, who was still looking weak and not strong enough.
"How are you?", she wanted to know opening her arms hugging her carefully.
"Could be better, but it's okay. I just need to sit.", she smiled softly.
"But you sound better.", Elena smiled encouragingly.
"I mustn't talk the last days.", she explained. "It could have been worse. I shouldn't have screamed so much."
"Your mom said you have to drink a lot of tea.", Caroline winked. "I make some."
"Thanks Caroline.", Lisa said as Elena helped her the few stairs down.
"Hi beautiful.", Elena smiled by the traditional words of greeting from Harry as he saw Lisa.
"Hey."
Elena let go of her as he stood in front of her. She saw Lisa smiling as she looked up at him. She wondered whether Lisa was aware of the love, safety, security, affection and relief, which were standing in her eyes. A little bit later she was in his arms, her eyes closing and a small smile on her lips.
