Harry P.O.V.

"A celebration?", he furrowed his forehead. "What is his problem? Does he think we have nothing else to do, than do kind of party?"

Jo needed an half hour to take Lisa's pain away, but now she felt better just a little bit tired. Lisa was sitting on the couch reading the letter of Klaus with an unsure expression.

"What do you think?", Elena asked slowly looking at Lisa.

Lisa pointed her lips and folded the letter taking a deep breath before looking up at her: "I think that isn't a good idea. I don't want my siblings in the contemporary of this original vampire. They won't come to this celebration."

"That's the problem.", Damon pointed out. "They have to come."

"No – we all have to die someday, but their death is not in such a short time.", Lisa explained. "If he wants that I appear to this unnecessary celebration then he better change the rules."

"You can't put yourself against him, Lisa.", Damon looked from her to the others. "We are talking about Klaus."

"I know, about whom we talk, Damon. And I can put myself against him."

"No you can't.", he shook his head. "Because that means your death sentence."

"You can't say that.", Harry interfered. "She isn't alone."

"He didn't say that. No one survived once he is obviously against him.", Stefan explained.

"We are all obviously against him.", Harry furrowed his forehead. "Aren't we?"

"Of course.", Caroline nodded just like Elena and Bonnie.

"But you are human.", Damon emptied his glass with one pull.

"And that's exactly why he chose us.", Lisa nodded pressing her lips together. "He believes we can't cause against him. He thinks we are weak and must submit to it. As we were his puppets."

"Maybe.", Jeremy breathed out. "Sounds like what Klaus wants."

"Yeah.", Elena sighed. "Puppets is a good word."

Harry looked from Elena to Lisa, who stared at the floor. He was standing at that time next to Stefan and Jo, near the piano and wasn't sure whether he should go over to Lisa or stay where he was. Lisa's pallor was almost gone and her normal skin color was almost back. She had changed her clothes and was now dressed in a cozy leggings and a dark blue blouse. Her hair had been tied back in a loose bun. Simple, but beautiful.

Partly she shook her head and looked at her hands.

"What do you think?", Stefan hesitated.

"I'm not a puppet.", she looked up, her expression now could be just as serious.

"But you have to in some way.", Damon furrowed his forehead.

"I have to do nothing.", Lisa said emphatically and stood up. "I am not an object with which you can do what you want. I am someone, maybe I'm not an important person. And certainly not for him. But I'm not the one going through hell, just so he has a blood donor."

"Blood donor?", Jo furrowed her forehead. "What do you mean?"

"Oh, you didn't know? Harry and I can't remember ever having sex together, when I got modest, I'm pregnant. Until we revealed that it was Klaus' plan. He wanted Elena's blood, but since that didn't work, he needed something else. And that is this baby in here.", Lisa explained lying her hands on her baby belly.

"That can't be true.", she shook her head.

"Oh it is.", Harry nodded depressed.

"What a ...", she hold herself back.

"But he won't get this baby.", Lisa said firmly, reaching for the letter on the couch. "Threat left me always cold. Let him come and get what he wants. But he should also reckon with the consequences. Do I look like an incubator? He has, unfortunately, picked probably the wrong female – human – woman. This is my baby and if he wants it, he has to kill me."

Very slowly and deliberately she tore the letter into small pieces and turned to the fireplace. Finally, she let the pieces fall into the open fire and put her head slightly inclined.

"Heavy words for a human being."

"In a large family you're learning enforce. It teaches you not to let yourself be beaten. You have to stand straight for what you want, otherwise it will be taken from you. And you have to hold what's important for you."

She was right.

She was damn right.

Harry made his way to her and put his arms around her placing his hands on her belly: "You are right."

"That will be fun.", Damon sighed so quietly that just the vampires heard it.

"Define fun, Damon.", Elena took a deep breath as Lisa leaned herself against Harry. "It seemed to me as it wouldn't be easier this time."

"Define easy, Elena.", Jeremy sighed.

"I'm sorry.", Lisa said quietly.

"For what, sweetie?", Caroline raised slightly one eyebrow.

"For all the complications. It is also dangerous for you.", she breathed out. "I didn't want that we end up here and like this."

"That's not your fault.", Caroline shook her head. "We couldn't guess that it will happen like that."

Lisa nodded slowly and closed her eyes taking a deep breath.

"I don't think he has such a big chance for winning this dispute.", Jo sat down on the couch biting her lower lip.

"So?"
