Caroline P.O.V.

They have witnessed Lisa's emotional breakdown. Her cries could decipher that something bad had happened with her little sister Lauren.

"That's not good at all.", Elena whispered. "Someone has to bring Jo - we need her."

"She's in the building.", Stefan nodded. "I'll go get her."

Leaning against Harry Lisa sobbed and was barely able to stand on her feet. Her sister Christina was standing next to Nick and looked tearful and anxious to her, not knowing what to do. As someone else appeared.

"Oh no.", Caroline breathed.

"What - is - she - doing - here?"

The sound of her father's voice made her go silent second for second.

"She is your daughter!", Christina answered slowly. "I had to tell her dad."

"You told her what?"

"That Lauren had an accident and is now -"

"She don't need to know that!", her father interrupted her.

"And how I need to know that!", Lisa moved away from Harry's arms and turn to face her father. "Because she's still my little sister. And because she is important to me. You can't forbid me seeing my siblings. Or to watch on my sister's bed until she wakes up."

"I still have to decide, who, when and how is on my daughter's bed, all right? I want that she leaves the hospital.", he turned to Christina.

"Oh you won't do that!", Lisa shook her head as he walked past her and a piece later stopped so that Lisa had to turn in their direction. "You don't talk about me in the third person!"

He wanted to open his mouth, but Lisa said unhindered: "Not even you will dare to talk about me like that when I stand next to you, understand? You have no idea of what I have to go and will go. You have no idea of anything! You give it to you so easy, by holding yourself out. But you know what? I don't need you. And even if you someday stand in front of my door and beg for forgiveness, I won't open. I can live without you, because I will stand on two legs and fight me, for that I don't need you. You were stabbing in my back when I thought you'd help me.", she paused and took a deep breath. "But Lauren needs me and if someone else of my siblings needs me - I'll be there. You can treat me like air, do it. But I'm not going to hide. You've raised me as a fighter, so it would have been clear to you, first you kicked me out. I give a damn about the reputation you gave me, because I stand to where I am now. And if you would see that, you would have seen that I'm happy, where I am. Now excuse me -
I have to go to my sister. If you have been listening to me at all."

And without waiting for his next reaction or response, she went to Lauren's hospital room and closed the door carefully behind her.

Christina P.O.V.

The words of her sister were hard but justified. It was only a matter of time before these words had come out of her mouth. Christina herself had to answer for that it was now done. And it was their only right that her father had been listening all.

Her father was silent and slowly turned his gaze to the glass pane, which revealed the room to her sister. Christina came slowly up to him and looked from Harry also to her two younger sisters. Lisa had stopped beside the bed, staring at Lauren, unsure what to do.

"She's your daughter, Dad.", Christina said quietly. "We are your daughters."

"You have never made mistakes.", he replied just as quietly. "I can't allow any mistakes."

"We are human beings.", she said wisely. "And human make mistakes."

"Still-"

"Isn't it important to know that she is well instead of the fact that she has broken the rules?", Christina wanted to know, feeling now the gaze of her father at the back of her head.

"You-", but again she interrupted him intentionally: "I'm not ready to lose a sister and that will happen if you exclude her further. And I'm neither willing to lose two sisters. Are you ready to lose two of your daughters - Dad?"

With one last look at her father, she walked past him and also entered the room. Lisa sat now on the bed, holding the dainty pale hand of her sister, she was trembling as Christina sat behind her on the bedspread. The head of her sister kissing, she covered her hand und squeezed them two lightly.

"She'll make it.", Christina whispered as Lisa leaned back against her.

"She has two.", Lisa sobbed. "I don't want her to die with the thought that I wasn't there for her. I don't want that she feels abandoned."

"She won't die, Lise."

"But what if? No one can say that right? What does the doctor said?"

"He talked to our parents about Lauren a few hours ago. I don't know what he said, I immediately set out looking for you.", Christina said trying to hold back her tears, she had to be the strength of them two.

"When does she had the accident?", Lisa whispered.

"Yesterday when she came home from school. All I know is that she was caught by a car in the parking lot."

"On the campus?"

Christina nodded. "We have been called and drove immediately to the hospital. She had an emergency surgery and has since been in artificial coma."

"Then they can wake her when she is strong enough, right? And her waking up would actually be possible."

"Actually."

"Thank you Christina, for telling and defending me.", she said after a while.

"I'm your big sister, it is my duty to stand behind and in front my little siblings.", Christina smiled gentle.

It went a quiet long time, in which they didn't turn away from Lauren and also didn't get up. But she turned her head toward the door as it opened. A doctor with bright eyes in contrast to her dark hair appeared in the doorway. Beside her and behind the glass sheet of the large window she saw Nick standing beside Harry, Caroline, Bonnie, Elena, but not her father.

"Hello.", the doctor closed the door. "You must be Christina?"

"Who are you?", Christina asked. "Laurens doctor?"

"No.", it came from her, but also from Lisa what made her looking back at her sister.

"I really don't want to disturb you, but I have to.", she stepped around the bed and looked from Lauren to Lisa, who later also raised her eyes from Lauren.

"What do you mean?", Christina asked slowly. "Lise?"

"That's Dr. Josette Laughlin, Christina.", Lisa stood up slowly and let go of Lauren's hand. "Unfortunately - I have to go."

"What's wrong? Is something wrong?", Christina is standing up too.

"Who is she?", Christina asked now again.

"Don't worry about me, it's all okay. Really. Your concern should include Lauren and not me. Please, Christina, just trust me.", Lisa cupped her sisters hands with her own. "I have to go."

"An investigation?", Christina asked arching one eyebrow.

"Quite right.", Dr. Laughlin replied.
