Chapter 83: Robes And Caps

Lauren P.O.V.
"They're coming! They're coming!", Joey exclaimed, chasing back into the hall.
"Joey, Joey, Joey!", Lauren watched as Christina grabbed her youngest brother and bent down to him. "You have to take care of the baby, Joey, if you call so loud, she gets scared."
"I didn't want that.", he freed himself from her grip and ran to the baby bowl, sat down in front of it: "Lisa, your mommy, is right there ..."
Lauren smiled and joined Caroline, Elena and her mom.
"Is everything ready?"
"Don't worry.", Caroline replied. "It's all perfect."
"Now everyone just has to go to his place!", she continued. "I hope everyone has changed into-"
"-yes, Barbie, it's all the way it was planned.", Damon rolled his eyes.
"Well, maybe not everything is perfect.", she mumbled.
"She'll ignore him. Don't worry about him, Lisa is good at it.", mom muttered.
"If you say so, it will be right."
"They're coming down the path.", Alaric said.
"I hope Stefan has thought of the-"
"He doesn't let them look, Caroline.", Bonnie interjected.
Just as the last had gone to his place and positioned himself, the beautiful white wing door opened.
"Is there a step?"
Lauren looked at Dani and recognized her grin. Surely she would have liked to answer herself.
"There's non.", Stefan replied.
Finally he pulled the doors close behind him and stopped them both.
"And now?", Harry wanted to know.
"It's so quiet here ...", Lisa whispered, then she turned her head to the right and left. "Stefan?"
"I'm still there.", he replied, looking from Lisa to Elena, who came with the two robes and caps, both of which were held in traditional colors.
"Don't open your eyes, but take off your jackets, please.", he begged.
Lauren realized Lisa frowning slightly, but she did what was told. Just like Harry.
After both the jackets were removed, Stefan helped Harry into the robe while Elena helped Lisa.
"Hello Elena.", Lisa smiled easily after a few seconds.
Abruptly and irritably, Elena stopped and looked at Stefan, who met her eyes.
"I've recognized you in your perfume.", Lisa added.
Lauren saw her smile and leaned quietly against the table behind her.

Lisa P.O.V.
While the person I had identified as Elena helped me in the second sleeve, she replied: "You take your surroundings very well."
She pulled the zipper as I heard. But as I was about to answer, she put her arms around me and pulled me close. Automatically, I replied her tight embrace and felt her leaning her head against mine. Under my hand I felt the fabric of the upper part of her top and felt for the sleeve of mine.
"Tell me, are we wearing the same?", I frowned slightly, but put my arms around her again.
But she didn't gave me an answer, because in the next moment Stefan said: "You can open your eyes on ... 3 ..."
"2 ...", it came from Elena.
"1 ... Now!", parallel to Stefan, Elena whispered: "Everything will be fine, that's a promise."
And she let me go as I opened my eyes and stood aside as the whole room - at least it seemed to me - shouted: "Surprise!"

Lauren P.O.V.
She saw exactly that the surprise had succeeded. Lauren saw the glow in Lisa's eyes, and the worries had disappeared inside the room, which was festively decorated by Caroline, her mother, and all the helpers (including her). The banner above their heads, which wrote: "Graduation!", was kept in red with golden letters.
And not only Lisa and Harry wore the festive robe, no Stefan, Elena, Caroline, Bonnie and Tyler wore them aswell.
"What is that?", Harry asked surprised.
"We came to the conclusion-", but Caroline was interrupted by Damon: "That was your idea!"
"... that you didn't have the opportunity - because of the fact that so much has happened here lately -  to participate in the ceremony. And in general, in any way. In any case, we want you to be as honored as we are, when we have finally completed another chapter of our lives. "
Lauren recognized how Harry crossed his fingers with those of her sister, as she looked back at them.
